Hey Imran. Thanks for the content. I left you a message over the past week, just letting you know I appreciate your work, content, effort, commitment, etc. I recently watched you in an interview with two other chaps and found myself rather inspired by your story/journey. You've certainly had to endure some seriously difficult adversity, especially medically. I gleaned a lot of of insight from your story. Thank you for your transparency. Super refreshing. I'm 42 myself, and just exited from a career that didn't satisfy me much at all and always left me feeling utterly drained. Lost my family, and finally, like you in a sense, made the decision to pursue something I'm passionate about. I fell quite in love with web-design a few years back and started building pages, watching videos, etc. I eventually realised I really enjoy everything that has to do with websites, web design, design, branding strategy, etc, And so I made the choice to give up what I was doing (in spite of the economic ramifications, lol - still stinging me, lol) and go after something I really enjoy. Sorry for the length of this message. Just wanted to be clear and make certain you're aware that it's journey's like yours that have inspired me to keep going. As you can likely understand, I sometimes question everything I'm doing. I'm working so hard to educate myself and reach a place where I feel competent. I'm getting there, Imran, lol. One day at a time. Thanks again for your content. I only found your channel semi-recently and I find myself appreciating you more and more each video I watch. All the best to you.
I feel your pain and want you to keep doing what you need to do to get through it all. Knowing that my vids/tips help you and others - always keeps me going too. Stay safe and take care.
Absolutely fantastic Imran. Love your content, always helpful and detailed. Just started fiddling with overlays for the first time on my brother's website and changing to this method made it pop.
This is an interesting take. I wouldnt take as THE RIGHT WAY, but rather a different way to produce different results which may or may not be more suitable for your goal at the moment. Thanks for the video 😊 appreciated the advice a lot!
That is a great approach. Even allows to work with different images together, or even with the same image to create interesting effects, like watermarks than disappear once you hover
I recall doing this years ago, but couldn't remember how, so I started adding in CSS to get the Multiply Overlay... and then lo behold - I swapped the process around! Voila.
thank you so much! I asked myself this question and you solved it for me! :-) I'm so exited testing this other way round for my next projects! The black/white picture makes also really sence 😀
@@websquadron Awesome. It won't even work without editing with Elementor--just inserting files into a block. It's crazy, or a conspiracy, or both. I'm not sure. But I don't want the weight (or cost) of a plug in on my home page.
You don’t need to use the grey scale image you can desaturate your colour image in css filters as well. I worked this out recently and literally thought to my self I’m doing it backwards.
I can’t believe to see this right now. I am working on a full high hero background and this saves my time!
🤯 Elementor didn't set this up in the most intuitive way, did they? That's why we appreciate YOU, Imran! Thanks, as always, for the great tip!
My pleasure!

This makes me even think about how did I make my designs wrong before jumping to Elementor. Grayscale image do works better. Thanks a lot sir
So simple, but I wouldn't have thought of it.
Thanks, Imran.
Kudos for new ways of doing things!

i think the bomb is the thumbnail! hahahah nevertheless i learned something today and thank you!
Fan-flippin-tasic. Thank you Squadron Leader. Have a grrat babk holiday
I don’t like multiply. I may use another. But blending options!!!!! Nice!!!! Didn’t know this.
Happy to help!
Never thought of that!! Thank you.
No problem!
Dude... That's a frickin' genius alternative approach. #JediWisdom

Totally right!
Thumbs up, man
I need to give this a try 👍
You should! It's so much better than doing the normal colour overlay over the image.
Great Tip!
Love your videos ❤
Thanks so much!
Good tip! Thanks. Which program do you use to capture your screen?
I use OBS :)
@@websquadron Thanks!
Thanks for the amazing content! Any chance for something about getting download buttons/icons to allow for downloading audio files on mobile devices?
I'll have a think about that.

Does it have an impact on the loading time if it is the background image of the hero section?
Nope. No difference at all.
Hey Imran, where's your outro ???? I so much look forward to that outro with that music - hahahaha
Took it off (for now) :) :)
Very nice!
Totally changes how you handle the text over image now :) :) :)
@@websquadron I'm definitely trying this out the next chance I get.

That’ll be for the image widget
Only you can get away with the kind of faces you pull in the thumbnails haha fair play.
I don't really use Elementor anymore. I wonder how this will look when you inspect the code. Hope it doesn't affect the page's accessibility.
Why would it affect the page's accessibility?
"Nice tip, thank you."
You bet!
Cool
Am I tripping or it's two cursors?
My mistake as I forgot to switch off OBS' cursor pointer :(
@@websquadron still a cool video, definitely something new.
I'm afraid I'm drunk. I see two cursors all the time!
Nope that’s my mistake when recording :(
