  • This thermistor is used on many Frigidaire model dryers including some Kenmore , Electrolux, Crosley and White Westinghouse model dryers. When this thermistor fails it can cause your dryer to stop running or not heat correctly and display a E24, E25, or F02 error code. If you are receiving either any these error codes you should test the thermistor.

You are a god among charlatans. Thanks. This is exactly what I needed to know, after trying so many other diagnostics (as viewed on YT), and then wondering... what next? Even though, this seems like it should be a Top 3 things to check when ya gots no heat!

Great video, I was wondering why it wasn't reading at all at the lowest 200 ohm setting.

My old one reads 10.1. Is it bad? Set multimeter on 200k

If your model dryer uses the part number shown in the video, then it is bad.

Im getting a reading of 60k at 71°f. Is that normal? I keep getting a dryer door switch fault code. Ive replaced the switch and tested just about everything else.

That reading is high, but probably not high enough to cause the dryer to stop working.

usually 10% + or - it should be replaced, but remember, it changes with the temp, so that figure is with 75 degrees room

Most thermistors have a tolerance of plus or minus 5% to 10%. This is just outside the 10% range, so it might be worth replacing. It is probably not far enough off to stop the dryer from working.
