@@clark1973 Lol yeah I knew you were, I was just giving some info. Fun fact friday lol! Most people don't know the Minecraft songs origins. I'd be happy to share all of the ones I know if you'd like. But I have to go pick up some pizza so I can't right now hehe
There's a reason Minecraft has been and will forever be my favourite game. It's not just the music, it's not just the game itself. Not only the nostalgia, building a castle or playing eggwars with my friends 7 years ago. It's all of it. Some say that the old Minecraft is dead, with the new MCYT community, the focus on PvP and servers, and the fact that the technical side of the game has been exhaustively explored. I recommend, however, forgetting about all distractions and starting a new world with the music at 100%. There will you remember the actual beauty of this game. Its essence is not dead, it's just difficult to find.
I made a new playlist with the older music of minecraft and started a new world and a whole wave of nostalgia just smacked me in the face. But not only did the music do that, so did the texture pack I used. Its the "Programmer art" The classic look of the game. SO. MUCH. NOSTALGIA.
Specifically, what i recommend doing is starting up Java edition and setting the version back to one you remember playing as a kid. I went back and played 1.3.1 again recently, and I cant say theres any better feeling.
Personally I feel like now there's too many things in minecraft, and the beauty of it has been lost with the simplicity it had. It was wonderful because we managed to do so much with so little. I mean don't get me wrong, the updates are great, 10 year old me would have loved them. But...I stopped playing minecraft when 1.9 came out, and when I came back to it last year, too many things had changed; there was simply too many new things and I felt like it wasn't mine anymore, because I could have never caught up with it. I felt like how old people feel at new technologies lmao... But I'm not too sad. I'm ok with minecraft being only a good memory for me, and a new opportunity for the younger generation. Maybe it's for the best that I don't know how to play anymore.
@@pee1167 The same happened to me: I used to play 1.8 on PC and the pre 1.13 Xbox 360 version back in 2014-2019 (I know it has been newer updates but back then my PC handled 1.8 pretty fine). When I had the chance to play newer versions (thing that I did, because I got an Xbox One and the Bedrock version for PC) I had no idea of where to start. I was lost and all of the new things were a lot for me. The only way that I found to understand how those new things worked was by playing and discovering; it gave me nostalgia while I was doing that because I remembered when I used to do the same on 1.8 and the xbox versions (for around 2014-2015). You should try out the new versions, one by one. If you stopped on 1.9; then you should play every version newer to 1.9 and on foward (1.10, 1.11, etc) until stopping at the most recent version. Sorry for my bad english but I'm not used to make long texts. Sorry :/
maybe if we riot, or cause more discussion about it, we might be able to get a generation change when you load up a new world, where you can have old villages enabled, or disable. automatically disabled.
1:17 always reminds me of my floating village. Had a nice big, green, luscious, forest village on top of a giant floating chunk of land, with a waterfall coming down to the surface. I'd made a small "landing pad" that came out a bit from the floating island, made of mossy stone bricks. I'd have a great view of the rest of the map. I would look forward to this song playing, so I could just stand there, and look out into this fictional world I've frequently lost myself in. Not because of the general gaming, basic storyline, or the premise of the game... but because I could truly create anything I wanted, finally. And I'd fabricate elaborate stories based off those creations. So I would sit there, and stare out into the blank canvas that is Minecraft, and wonder what this world had in store for me next. Or rather- what I had in store for IT...
People say "Sweden and Subwoofer Lullaby is more nostalgic!!1!1" Others say "Danny is the most nostalgic!!!11!" I say that they are all amazing and all deserve the same amount of recongnision
I'm with you 100%. I do realize people are just stating their opinions, though occasionally it begins to feel more like a war over which music is superior. But every piece is unique and enjoyable in their own special ways, and can't exist without each other. They're called music _pieces_ for a reason.
not beta or alpha but I cry a little when I hear Minecraft Music... I remember my first EVER Minecraft Demo world, when I knew like nothing for Minecraft, I made a hole in the ground, and hid there because I was scared because I heard about the monsters :) :'D
thats a late reply, but when I first installed minecraft (1.3 or something) I went up in creative and tried to paint the bricks with dyes. Man the old times :(
The sad thing is the fact that we will never relive those days, remember the worlds we made, the houses we built, the first nights underground, the mobs we killed… those were the good days, Minecraft has a special place in my heart and it has in yours to
i like how in the beginning it sounds like the person who is playing the piano is struggling to get the notes right then eventually gets the hang of it
My name is Danny, this song will forever hold a place in my heart, when I realized it shared its name with me, it made me feel even more connected to this game I grew up on, and I have always felt strongly towards this track. It does a good job of describing me as a person. If you really, truly listen to this, it has more personality than any song with words could. It tells a story. It has a purpose. I will carry this track with me until I die.
I came here because of Wifies lol. "My Minecraft World is Deleting Itself..." Nice soundtrack tho. I heard it sometimes when I'm playing Minecraft back then.
In a deep, deep rut rn. Listening to the soundtrack to give me any sense of peace. This song hits me different ten years later. I can't explain it. It's just a song, but it means so much. It reminds me of the simpler times. It reminds me of when I was truly happy. I don't know.
Tbh I cried listening to this even tho I mostly played alone I had so much fun as kid but now I have a job tons of school and barely any friends life is meh
The first half of the Danny is feel like normal minecraft day but the second half feels like u returned after 5 years back and remember this was your childhood
1:17 is my favorite moment of the entire Minecraft tracklist. It always reminds me of the first time I heard this song, when it was raining and I was looking out from inside my cabin in the woods. Memories...:')
For me, the music kind of feels eternal. Even though the last time I heard this song was years ago, it's like I never stopped hearing it. It's so familiar and simple, it's like I never aged at all.
My mother always asked me what funeral music she heard when I played in the living room 10 years ago. These are the most beautiful masterpieces I have heard
“Hey man, I gotta log off. See you later.” *Last online 5 years ago* I can’t even remember the last time I played Minecraft. This game will always bring back the good old memories. I literally listen to Minecraft alpha songs when I feel sad to cheer me up. Minecraft is, in my opinion, the best game ever created with the old Call of Duty games right next to it. Thank you Minecraft and COD for beeing there troughout my childhood. I’ve built up some of my closest friendships and had some of the best memories because of you. Thank you.
My heart goes out to the person who originally invented the first two lines of this comment... they had no idea that it would become so widely imitated for cheap emotional appeals and likes.
This music is like a story to me. Beginning is the childhood. Everything is calm and happy no worries. Then the teenage years come and its a moody stage of life...responsibilities and such all overwhelm you slowly. Its the time of life where youre trading all the happiness and innocence of childhood to a different life. Then that moody stage dies off and all thats left is just another person and nothing is the same as before.
Back when pocket edition didn’t have the nether yet Back when I couldn’t figure out how to fly in creative so I build 3 block tall houses When I eagerly waited to get back home to play When me and my friends spent countless hours playing When mobs attacked you, even in creative When I couldn’t get the resources to build a good house, so I resorted to dirt When the first night was always the worst When I still had my best Minecraft friends, who have last been seen November 20, 2015 Oh Minecraft. How you have given me such a lovely, blocky childhood
“Wanna play Minecraft?” “Yeah sure. *A hour later* “Alright I gotta go eat, wanna play tomorrow?” “Sure.” *...more than 365 days later.* *your dog is still sitting, wanting food. But it refuses to eat. It wants to eat with you.*
danny is the equivalent of aria math/biome fest, this will ALWAYS the first song you remember bc it plays a hundred times every time you play in survival
do you remember those tutorial worlds with the old graphics, the huge minecraft wool sign, the random buildings scattered everywhere, the stations that taught you, the broken hut template, those built in texture packs, mash ups those villages, your first house, your flat roof designs, your childhood, i do too.
i miss it ehen there wws no dream stans, no new nether update, no emotes, no fish, no cats, no bees, no realms, no toxic 5 year olds. i want to be happy and enjoy thr game again but i simply cant.
Then: People were friendly steves that knew what minecraft really is. Now: People are little kids saying that they're 16 years olds with "hot boy" skins, being rude and thinking that minecraft is a dating website.
And a bunch of clickbaiting twats. Back then we had to worry about caving and the finite diamonds, iron, coal, gold and even finite cobblestone (Indev) so we valued diamonds like never before.
I love how it's easy to meditate to MC's music. EDIT: This music... it's really enchanting. It's a hug to the soul. Brings me into a calm mysterious world... 💫🌸🌲🌪️🌇🌅🌃🌌🌘🌧️
That ARG wasn’t about a person. It was about Minecraft itself. If you’re like most players, this probably strikes a deep, bittersweet and nostalgic feeling in your heart. That rose was our childhood, and we have to let go.
That beat switch/transition at 1:11 was so beautiful and gave me such a high dose of nostalgia and peace. It reminds me of a starry night, watching the clouds slowly move by, seeing the bright white moon and looking out for any shooting stars that cross the night sky.
i started crying when the track started. it is my favorite track in minecraft. I still play minecraft religiously but, it just isn't the same. i used to just pause and look at the beauty of the seed when I first started. i just don't notice it anymore. I've seen the minecraft terrain so much that one mountain landscape looks just like another. I couldn't tell one world apart from another. I miss the days where I would just wander around the world, not meaning to do anything but just to see the beauty of the world. not caring that I would starve to death but just caring on taking it all in. listening to the sound track for hours. no hour on minecraft was wasted for me. I have been playing minecraft for 7 years. not as long as some other people but long enough to remember the good days. I remember when I saw my first minecraft song video (which was captainsparkle's tnt) I was inspired to recreate them. I first got into servers when I saw Bajan Canadian's hunger games. it got me interested in servers and I play hunger game to this day. I am glad I grew up on minecraft and not fortnite. minecraft unlocked creative sides of me that I didn't know where there. It made me the person I am today. minecraft strengthened my mind. fortnite i a mind rotting game. minecraft has saved my countless hours of daylight of boredom. and I thank minecraft for growing me into the person I am now. and I know that starting a sentence with and is bad grammar. also say what you like or dislike about long comments like this but know that there are human beings behind the screen.
Dude I agree with you and we all hope and pray after 7 years it comes back I was a beta tester and I would just dig a hole in the ground and hear the zombie moans while the best tracks play in the background while I sat there with a coke and cheetos in my hand with the slowest laptop ever XD I want these days back and so do all of you.
i remember when my sisters build a floating house for me and it had redstone with a cart going around many rooms and then.. then they said this. "Do you want a pet ghast?" or something along those lines i never had seen or knew anything about the nether until that point EVER so i was confused but they spawned it in a glass cage and said "It's gonna blow up the house!" but we were in creative it scared me a bit i didn't want the house to be destroyed. and that my friend. is how i discovered the nether
The feelings of childhood are bliss to to informed ear. For someone with no knowledge of Minecraft these notes arranged on paper have no meaning other than face value. It still brings a tear to my eye to know the moments spent playing the game and listening to the flawless soundtrack will never be relived, but that’s ok. Let loose and indulge in the finest album of music ever created.
“Hey Mia wanna play Minecraft tonight?” “Sure” “*falls asleep*” “Why didn’t we play tonight dude?” “I promise, let’s play this night” *we never did play on my 360 again* *im sorry Mia, let’s play tonight, after 4 years of waiting*
this remembers me, at late 2009, this stange game, out of the normal type of games appeared in front of me in a youtube video with like.. 20 reps, Minecraft. After some time of waiting because of my dial connection, a total surprise of a game, something i never saw before. After this i remember all the people i tried to convince this game was great, but they rejected it for having "shit graphics". Now, a lot of people i know play and praise this game, and those who don't play it, remember it as a wonderful game they enjoied a couple of years ago. I allways remember that time, when i witnessed the birth of a legend
The game we all will remember The game that created our childhood That wonderful game that made us happy To build our own world Fight the mobs Everything good that time...
It makes me feel so old when I see the things people think are nostalgic about this game. I remember late 2010/ early 2011. No hunger bar, no villages, complete barebones Minecraft yet there was something so magical about the simplicity.
Honestly, I’ve had more nostalgic memories with Danny playing in the background that Sweden, Minecraft, Haggstorm, or Mice on Venus (some of my favorite Alpha songs). Danny has always been that song that I’ve never really listened to and enjoyed. It’s always been a thing that just constantly plays for me, and I just forget it. Danny’s beginning sends a punch to my heart. I remember building my Mob Farm, my house, and my base with this song playing in the background.
This is the one it’s this one I’ve been searching for this brings back so much memories more then I will probably get during the rest of my years simpler times
@Nino hey there is still some good people, take hermitcraft for example they build and have fun for about a year then they reset the server and start again :)

I actually never knew this one was called "Danny" until now..

If you stopped on 1.9; then you should play every version newer to 1.9 and on foward (1.10, 1.11, etc) until stopping at the most recent version.

maybe if we riot, or cause more discussion about it, we might be able to get a generation change when you load up a new world, where you can have old villages enabled, or disable. automatically disabled.
@SomeoneYT 2 they didn't??? they only had a slight redesign tf

Then the teenage years come and its a moody stage of life...responsibilities and such all overwhelm you slowly. I love how all of these songs are uniquely special. Each one is like a different memory waiting to be replayed as you listen to each song
i started crying when the track started. it is my favorite track in minecraft.
