I liked the aesthetic of the Vulcan ships in Enterprise. It showed that not every species built their ships in the same way. A lot of Star Trek ships end up looking very similar
Of all the Vulcan ships used I liked the designs of the T'Plana-Hath as it's legged appearance is unique and creates such a mystery as to whether it's a LEM-style craft or just a small survey vessel, and the D'Kyr-class because the folding/rotating warp ring and the rounded shape makes it look very agile despite the larg size
One question or point of clarification…. You say that the Vulcan ships technology was influential in the development of human ships, but I don’t know if that’s actually the case because I thought that the Vulcans refused to share any technology with the humans and they had to develop it all on their own that’s why their ships are designed so differently because the Vulcans wouldn’t give them anything. Perhaps ideas on theory I can see but I don’t see Vulcans giving their tech out and the fact that our warp drive was totallly different would lend credence that while the Vulcans were around their tech was still a black box to humans until the founding of the federation. Any thoughts?
You dont need to give over schematics and plans for someone you associate with consistently for decades to glean some insights into your technology. It's almost guaranteed that they will figure some of it out simply by paying attention.

Are you telling me that you don’t think the Vulcans the species of pure logic wouldn’t recognize the problem of sharing that technology with humans with their conflict with the andorians And again it took him like 50 years to reach warp 2 so what were the Vulcans influencing their technology to do to me? It seems like the Vulcans were just watching and seeing what we were doing making sure we weren’t gonna blow ourselves up. You never see a human operating Vulcan technology and you never see a human on a Vulcan ship I very much could see the vulcans. Never letting the humans on their ships making them use their own that would be consistent with the way that archer talked about them.
@@Peaceforall20111 Prior to the establishment of the Federation, Vulcan technology was advanced well beyond its neighbors and they didn't willingly share their secrets with other less-advanced species. Their policy was a less dogmatic and more pragmatic precedent for the Prime Directive. Despite this I can imagine several ways in which Vulcan technology may have influenced other species. Observation of Vulcan capabilities would lead to trial-and-error attempts to emulate them. Some species might try espionage and intellectual property theft, or attempt to reverse engineer "salvaged" Vulcan tech. The Vulcans might even have discouraged other species from employing technology they had already determined to be harmful (causing damage or some form of pollution or biological hazard) at least within their sphere of influence. Knowing what not to do saves time chasing fruitless technological options. Of course where Vulcan influence would have had the greatest effect is after the foundation of the Federation. Once Vulcan agreed to trust an independent governing body with the mutual defense of all it's members they would have been motivated to bring Starfleet up to their standards, and guide the process with the influence their technological superiority afforded them.
I'm sure of the thousands of people who worked on aspects of starship design for starfleet, some of them were vulcans. Whether the constitution class or sovereign, the federation would have assigned their best designers, engineers, or scientists regardless of race.
I think you got D'kyr and Surak class reversed. The Surak is much larger and stronger than the D'kyr, but the D'kyr can flip it's Warp Ring horizontal and deploy a shuttlecraft, which is awesome. I love the Enterprise Vulcan ships. The D'kyr is amazing, have it in Star Trek Online.
I always loved the look of the Vulcan ships from "Enterprise". I think the warp ring design may have been built on a NASA theoretical concept for a Warp Drive ship, though NASA's had two rings, not one. Now about the Vulcan ship in "First Contact": I always assumed it was just a landing craft. Vulcans had watched humans over the centuries, I doubt that they would trust us enough to send an advanced warp capable small spaceship down to Earth to make First Contact, seeing that humans can be........unpredictable. I assumed a much larger survey ship was in Sol System at the time, and sent down the lander. In the movie, they did mention that they had to hide the Enterprise E behind the moon, to avoid detection. I'm sure that that ship wouldn't need to hide to block the sensors of that small Vulcan ship, which was watching the Phoenix, anyway, and tracking it to it's landing point.
The romulan vulcan ships , were originally part of the vulcan merchant fleet ( civilian ) later decommissioned, and then stolen and refit for that operation
