Awesome catch! Thank you for sharing!
Very cool. Wish we had something like this in the Northwest.
Fantastic! Enjoyed this very much. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort.
Nice video man
Weird looking f units
Great vid! Love seeing the old fallen flags return like that! Those were the days
Beautiful capture
wait a second i was at the Main Ave Crossing that same day at that same time
Saw it at 2:16 PM
Is 2014 the backup engine if the old FL’s break ?
Nice video
2026 was only being used as HEP and was not actually under its own power so 2014 was considered one of the main units
There was one black and orange observation car marked ‘Empire Builder’. Wasn’t that a Great Northern passenger service decades ago?
yes
@@MIkey2008g6 - Thanks Mikey!
The colors are actually Omaha Orange and Pullman green on the Empire Builder car. The last paint scheme the GN had before the Burlington Northern merger was Big Sky Blue. Alot of the passenger equipment went to Amtrak in1971.
This full length dome lounge was built in 1955 for the Great Northern Railroad. Amtrak still operates the Empire Builder today, but with modern equipment.
@@davidmihevc3990- Thank you David.
