The issue with Wegovy/Ozempic is that you have to continue the medication for life; otherwise, you'll gain back the lost weight and possibly more. That's a long lifetime commitment for teenagers being prescribed this.
Additionally - semaglutide is NOT cheap ! I am in my mid 60's and started taking it a few years ago to get A1c numbers down. It worked, but
my insurance co-pay for it was almost $800 a month ! The side effects of nausea and vomiting are no joke. Avoid it if you can !

Her admission, that she "never thought" the laws regarding personhood would affect her, is a common arrogance. She should know that the courts in the USA, especially places like Alabama and Florida, are not logical or necessarily ethical. The court with that ruling is repeating the same error of the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution. It is narrowly focused and without foresight. The ramifications will be myriad. The effects may cause a collapse of artificial fertilization of humans and animals. More people will be born with "defects" to their genes or anatomy. Perhaps it will slow the spread of gene seed families like Elon Musk's ( super rich people who create children for the sake of inheritance, narcissistic fantasy. or tax shelters ).
I contend that we are not "people" until we are severed from the umbilical cord. I was born in the 1980's; but, I recognize that my egg existed in my mothers ovaries as far back as the 1960's. Apparently my egg was created before my mother was even born. I'm frankly surprised that the Alabama courts didn't rule external fertilization of human eggs, a crime against God. I believe it's possible that a large number of empowered or wealthy elites have succumbed to an insane devotion to the bifurcation of global populations. It is possible they seek to create an enslaved class of humans. It's not far from what capitalism already does (and has done). Perhaps the COVID crisis was more traumatic than we recognize. I mean, everyone on Earth went through it at the same time. There is no control group... haha... Sad pun. But seriously, every soldier experiences a deployment to a warzone in their own way. Each soldier has their personality changed by the beliefs they accept or reject, regarding their own survival. The pandemic may have reinforced nonsensical beliefs of those who survived. Examine those who have survived horrible accidents; they often exhibit "coping beliefs" regarding their experience. Some of those beliefs border superstition, realism, or even nihilism.
