Hey Lee loved the final product but I was hoping to see your radiant tubing install and insulation install is the going to be in an up coming video ??? Also I have a question I was going over my basement dig out with a person and he was saying that if my house didn't come with a basement under the portion of the house it was probably a reason. It didn't make sense to me since my house is a split level with the dining room living room and kitchen raised by 4 feet and a crawl space under that portion I saw no reason why I couldn't dig it out . What's your opinion on the subject? He said that if the soil my raised area was built on wasn't virgin undisturbed soil I couldn't dig it out it would collapse in on it self . How would I determine that and have you ever heard of that before.
I am working on reorganizing the channel. Heat tube stuff will be along in a while. If your split level house had been built on fill, it would have broken in half by now. I think maybe the guy had an audience & liked to hear himself talk.
@@diycrawlspacedigoutunderpi4201 I think you hit the nail on the head .I was thinking the same thing but it was at Thanksgiving dinner and he's older than I am and i didn't want to contradict him. I worked in the drilling and blasting industry and we regularly went an extra foot or two because of uneven breakage. For a margin so that we could backfill to the proper grade. Because once you blasted and removed the broken rock you could not go back and re blast and if you didn't go deep enough the hoe ram operators would be pissed .Because then they would have to scratch at it wasting time and money. I was figuring I would ask you since you have done it and did a pretty dam good job I might add .
@@buelowexcavating thanks John I agree with you as well .It one of the reasons Lee's didn't have a basement as well . But I also think it has to do with when the house was built and what the neighborhood called for at the time . My neighborhood has a wide variety of homes .
Don't know why, but the original JCB bucket came that way. The bucket I cut the ears off & reversed to use as a shovel was originally a Bobcat bucket. It had a full row of teeth & worked much better. Thanks for watching
Coming along nicely!
Lookin great. Keep it up.
good stuff, and music
The bucket looks like an old man with a few teeth missing. Great video!
I've never used demolition grout. Is there a brand that you recommend?
Dexpan. www.dexpan.com. Amazing stuff

Good answer Lee. The reason it probably did not have a basement is the original owner was on a budget and could not afford it.
