2:00 what I love in bi han is that he is not evil, he just is ambitious here in 2:00 he could have kill kuai liang but instead stabbing his neck he cut his eye, he even said "End this brother" he acknowledge Kuai Liang as something important for him, he struggled since mythologies between evil and good.
To be fair when your brother is important to you, you don't need to physically fight him to the point of almost losing his eyes.

Scorpion is played by Daisuke Tuji, the same dude who played Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima
Sub Zero is played by Kaji Tang who plays Gojo in JJK, Sanemi in Demon Slayer and Ichiban in the Yakuza/Like A Dragon series.
Smoke is played by Yuri Lowenthal who plays Ben 10, Sasuke Uchia and Peter Parker in the Insomniac Spider-Man games

Bi-Han slashed Kuai Liang's face so hard his metal mask flew off, yet when Bi-Han gets hit with a heavy metal chain his mask still stays perfectly intact on his face.

1:56 That slow motion was not for dramatic effect but to show us that Bi Han switched hands with his blade. Although he may be the bad guy in this one, that was a pretty dope move.

Tomas is the most underrated character in mortal kombat 1
To be honest, I was expecting Bi-Han to get his redemption in this game (something that I really wanted since he needs one), but maybe the creators showing Bi-Han's flaws and cold side is a way to properly build up his redemption and flesh out his character more, showing us his original personality before doing his redemption. Maybe in the next game, we'll see Bi-Han get it.
Bi-Han (Original Sub-Zero) is the kind of the guy who may seem cold and callous, but he's by no means evil; his personality is a lot deeper than what he may seem on the outside. He's a pretty complicated and enigmatic dude.

I love Liu Kang's timeline so much. Feels like indeed, everyone can get their happy ending if they just try.
And it remains true for Bi-Han, I pray he never turns into Noob Saibot in this timeline, as much as I love Noob, it's always the same with him.
As a human, not clouded by evil, we're able to see much more about Bi-Han's true self and how he may develop in the future, rather than remain as a stagnant force of darkness like he did as Noob Saibot in the two previous timelines.
i love how liu kang make kuai liang as the new scorpion rather than hanzo because he might think that hanzo might be strong as scorpion but he's lack of self control and fill with vengeance make him dangerous in his new era rather than kuai Liang who's calm reasonable and reliable person making scorpion fire in his hands more deadly

Scorpion has been boring since Mk11. Imo, they shouldn't have deleted the tortured soul version of Hanzo Hasashi
As someone who's absolutely brand new to Mortal Kombat and knows some general knowledge about Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Where they always simply mortal enemies or did they have a blood connection?
A little bit of both, in a sense that they were mortal enemies in the past with the story centering on Hanzo (previous Scorpion) exacting revenge on Bi-Han for the death of his whole family & his clan (Shirai-Ryu). Kuai Liang (The current Scorpion) was actually the 2nd Sub-Zero after taking the mantle of his brother Bi-Han since he was killed by Hanzo.
At first, Scorpion and Sub-Zero were mortal enemies. Before this game, Scorpion was in his own clan called the Shirai Ryu, and Sub-Zero was in the Lin Kuei. They were blood lusted and bitter rivals. Scorpion was named Hanzo Hasashi and Sub-Zero is the same here being Bi-Han. Hanzo is Japanese and Bi-Han is Chinese. Hanzo was an undead revenant in the first games seeking revenge on Bi-Han for killing the Shirai Ryu (which he didn’t do). Hanzo eventually killed Bi-Han. His little brother, Kuai Liang, took his place as the new Sub-Zero. Kuai Liang was to kill Hanzo for the death of his older brother, but eventually sought out peace and to explain that Bi-Han wasn’t the one who killed the Shirai Ryu. They eventually reconciled and found peace in each other and were brothers in arms.
Now in this game, Scorpion is Kuai Liang, and Sub-Zero is Bi-Han again. In Smoke/Tomas’ ending, Hanzo Hasashi is now a kid training under the new Shirai Ryu clan founded by Kuai Liang and Tomas.
