Leaving for our first trip to Iceland in six weeks for our first twelve day visit and this is EASILY the most entertaining video of the 50 or so I have watched over the last two months. I want to buy you a drink, SEVERAL drinks, when we get there. This was AWESOME! And that's from a retired drug cop who also fully appreciates the weed nonsense. Such a perfect miss of comical and practical information combined. Well done sir. Well done. I applaud you.
I literally laughed out loud about the waterproof phone. Five years ago I dropped my phone in a river of meltwater while hiking on/through Vatnajokull. I noticed about 20 minutes later, and my guide allowed me to run back and make a quick look for it. I found it, rinsed it off in some clean melt dripping from the overhead, and it worked like a champ. My guide joked that I may well have been the first person in the world to lose my phone in a glacial melt river, find it, and still have it work after the fact.
@@TimeWarpIceland Windy, cold, rainy (sometimes bright) and expensive camping trip where they use a different voltage. Three weeks away and we can't wait!
We were in Iceland early January, bought all the cold/wet/icy/windy weather gear ……… then it was warmer than the UK ! Only the second to last day was MEGA wet and we only just managed to get our coats dry for the return home. Loved Iceland and we will be returning !
I lived in England for a while and I remember being a lot colder there than on Iceland. Part of the problem is probably humidity but the fact that you can't really dress in winter clothing there because it's not "cool" (pun intended) is a huge part of the issue. 😅
I went to icland last week and we literally payed for a bag just for food, iclands shops are pretty much the same dont worry about it get an air bnb with a kitchen and buy food to cook. Rent a car from icland rental its at the airport and has a suttoe bus really nice poeple. Buy from the duty free 100%
Awesome video! I’ll be going to Iceland within 3 days and just added 3 items to the packing list. I’ll end up taking all my house, but not sure it will fit in the campervan! 😂
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing other tourists using their walking sticks fiercely, in the middle of Reykjavik. Tell you what though, some woollen base layers was the best thing I brought. Didn't need to wash them at all and they didn't smell.
Yes, these whool sweaters are almost like magic. Definitely bring one of you have it or buy one in Iceland. But try it first. For some they itch like crazy. I can't wear them. The one I have is not sheep whool but something much softer. Can't remember what exactly.
30$ for daily food? you mean as in groceries form the super market? That's insane! I can have a ribeye at a fancy steakhouse for that price. Can I bring 10 litres of olive oil? That'll get me through a year. And what does Icelandic law say about owning, say, 5 chickens? Always wanted to do that.
Haha yea it's expensive. But highly dependent on the exchange rate and how much you eat I suppose. You can probably eat for less and it's fine owning chickens but they are probably expensive too. At least the live ones. 😅
"So many people fail to do basic research to head to Iceland"...Ain't that the truth!! I have been prepping for my Iceland trip for 5 months, and I have come across people that ask if they need waterproof or windproof items for Iceland a couple of days in advance of their trip lol
We’ll be there in 2 weeks. Just after that volcano eripts, melts the glacier and washes away all of the other tourists. Ahhh, quiet Iceland…. If we run into you we are buying you that 10$ pint. Hilarious productions. Cheers.
I will go to Iceland 28 oct-4 nov. Heard mixed opinions wether to bring crampons. What is your opinion? And what price would they be in a supermarket in Iceland?
It's unlikely that you will need them during that time of year unless you are going on hikes. I would definitely get good ones, not supermarket ones if you do.
Feedback noted, incidentally Ive been experimenting with no music videos and I think I might just agree with you. At least doesn't need to cover the entire video.
"Tampons for crabs" got me good. We leave next Tues for 9 days in your lovely country and we are so excited!

Thank you. This is easily the best comment I've had in a while 😁 you are welcome to reach out when you get here. Have a great trip 😎

Thats a heck of a phone 😳 was it a Nokia 3210?
@@TimeWarpIceland Bwahahaha. Nah, Samsung.
😅
Bring plenty of time... you're gonna need it since there's so much to see and explore.
True! I've been here all my life. Still seeing new things.
I love your sense of humor....along with good information!
So basically pack for a windy, rainy and expensive camping trip.
Don't forget the sunglasses 😎

It's not an adventure unless you fear for your tent at some point. Have a great time 😁
Just got back - as in one hour ago. Yes, expensive. But worth it!
Lol yup but I totally want to go!

@@TimeWarpIceland oh we’re totally practical, we’re staying warm and dry, don’t much care about “cool”, we’ve a dog to walk so muddy too !
A must-have to bring are slippers to go to the pool or some lagoon and a swimming suit!
It's not a bad idea. Just make them cheap and light because they might not survive.
yes yes yes I'm glad I clicked this to watch!!!! Thank you and see you in Iceland
Hope you have a great trip 😊
This was HILARIOUS!! Absolutely amazing video. I loved it so much! I never comment but this video truly deserved one.
Thank you so much. I appreciate your comment 😊
Love this satirical take on a packing list. Lol Great job as always.

Spongebob Drunk Pants. I'm dead 😂😂😂
Love your videos! You are hilarious and informative. I can't wait to explore Iceland.
Ireland is the same for prescriptions. You cannot even but more than one paracetamol product at a time there, in a shop or supermarket.
Your sense if humor is brilliant. Love it and the the info. Thank you.
Thank you 😊
I just bought binoculars on a whim, now I'm glad I did! Will make sure to bring them while we're in the country next week :)
They are underrated for sure!
Sad that the volcano isn't active though, was hoping to see it :(
Never know. Might start again 😊

Tampons for crabs 😂😂😂😂 Thank you for an informative and entertaining video! We are planning a trip to Iceland in summer 2025!
Wow, some plan well on advance, some come without a plan. Have a great Trip 😊

Do plan to hike a few places. What places would you say these might come in handy?
Funny ... but so true
😂😂😂 too funny. I like it a lot 👏👏👏
Thank you 😊
how about a waterproof, heated lanyard for my pacemaker? =)
😅
So can I bring my medicinal cannabis from the states or should I try to get a prescription for another anxiety medication before I leave in May?
You definitely can not take it with you.
How do I find the cowboy river?
What cowboy river? 🤔
This guy is so funny 😂
Bring safety glasses. The wind is strong and you will get hit by small rocks. I wish I would have brought a hair tie.
Yeeeeaaaaaaaaah, first again! Love your videos!!!
Haha well done. Thank you 😁
haha 😂 useful.. thanks
Icelanders are huge fans of money. Well,, at least we have that in common.
Well try to not cause a financial crisis again. I promise.
Very useful video except for the incredibly annoying repetitive piano chord in the background. Music not needed!
Feedback noted, incidentally Ive been experimenting with no music videos and I think I might just agree with you. At least doesn't need to cover the entire video.
so really no weed?
Not unless you know where to find it. And I'm pretty lame so I don't. Apparently it's home grown and very good.
