A year ago my best round of 18 was 132, and just 2 days ago I shot 102, and today im hoping to break 100. Its been a journey, but like you, these videos have really helped me with my thought process in playing.

My consistency is much improved, and regularly am shooting in the low to mid 90s. Would love to get to scratch golfer levels of play, but I am a LONG way off from that.

Another editing genius move is the "WOOO!" in Jump Higher almost always happens just before a putt rolls in the hole. But the big picture of golf is even better - plan back from the hole, hit shots you like, GIOTG, get tee shot in play, and much more. I'm personally planning my practice time on
That's the old Tiger strategy. You can talk or complain about your shot all you want but pick an imaginary line out in front of you and when you cross it you never think of that shot again. It's a brilliant way to get around the course.
Whenever I hit a "safe shot" poorly and start thinking "oh I should have just hit driver" to counter this I think about where my ball would be if I had hit the same bad shot with it - 99% of the time it would be 70m further into trouble. This has helped me stop following up a bad tee shot on one hole with a bad one on the next, a bad shot normally formed by a poor decision and not so much poor technique. Love your videos mate.

Matt, I wanted to thank you whole heartedly for posting this content and all your previous videos. My son, 14yo, and I went out and played our first 18 together. He is 4 months into the game and played for his high school team, and I get out 2-3 times per year. I shot 90 using the way of the playa as my background for every shot I took. Ego left at the parking lot, and played some of the best holes I have ever played. We left the last shot behind us, and enjoyed the game so much more! My son is still working on his contact, but put up 120 and had a par on a tough par 4. I also planted my birdie divot tool whenever there was a chance though I feel as though I let you down on that one...no birdies, but 5 pars Thank you from Mike and Tyler in Ohio, USA!
I love watching these. Terrific video, makes me want to play. One thing I've noticed is that Matt very rarely misses short putts but his approach to them is very casual. You would never see a pro do some of the little tap ins with a wedge of the back of a putter. But watching Matt's overall game it seem he is a very good putter and his relaxed attitude helps him (less jabbing and pulling and blocking and stressing).
Perhaps changes if there is something on the line. But mostly I just don't really care in general until after the round then I go, WHAT WAS I THINKING MISSING A 2 FOOTER WITH THE BACK OF THE 3 IRON!
I really felt like you played to your strengths on this video. It takes someone who is very disciplined to back away from a shot when they need to. Looking forward to watching the next video!

Had a “way of the playa” moment today. Hit a weak drive on a par 5 that’s normally reachable in 2. Instead of hitting a 3 wood on my 2nd shot, I laid up to 100 yards, stuck the wedge close, then made the putt for birdskie. I could hear the music playing in the background!
Love seeing you in the ol' stomping grounds and talkin' sense you learned. Those shots around the green add up. Playas, do not compromise. If you have to tell the caddie to go get the right stick. I played today and it came up twice. Once I compromised. Hit wrong club. HIT it shite. Next time I got the right club. Hit it close. Be your own playa!

I feel like my golf lately has mirrored ur last few videos in some ways. I feel close to breaking through, but inconsistencies, lost focus has lead to overthinking and lack of confidence at times. Looking for one round where I can put it together for 18 holes. Glad u had yours.
