Thank you for your lovely content. Question. Interest on Government bonds are not taxed in Canada for non residents. Is the same thing true for corporate bonds? Since both are arms length transactions. I am a non resident of canada with no connections to Canada. I am also not required to file returns in Canada.
If I set one tax-country , should I report about any changes then? could the country be changed later? Should I to inform CA gov about it? Thanks for the chance to ask
I have a corporation, not active anymore with around 500 k in retained earnings. Is there any posibility not paying personal taxes all at once on it upon departure?
Thanks for this video. I currently have my house for sale. We are moving to Paraguay to get their temporary residency and hopefully move that into permanent residency. Canada is too expensive, too woke, and too cold.
Good information! I’ve been thinking of doing this for about a year now! Definitely worth some more research! Thanks.
Thanks for taking the tima to explain how to leave Canada.
Great video!

@@Life-With-Tim thank you 😊 emailed you !
how about crypto? also exit tax on that?
I got my non resident status of Canada but I'm a nomad and not a tax resident anywhere else. I was approved in 2020. Can this lead to problems for me?
Do you have house, car, spouse, children in canada?
@@eakubali8687 No. But I am a freelance writer and sometimes I have clients from Canada.
Yes, spouse and children make you a deemed resident untill they move too. Secondary ties are only considered if primary ties are present, otherwise no
A child over 18 years old would still tie you?
What about crypto in a cold wallet can they tax that?

Just file your deemed year end on the date of departure and for future filings indicate you are non resident.

Does your social insurance number also ties you or u can cancel that too
No, you don't need to cancel it and i don't even think you can
If you become a non resident can you still keep your current Canadian bank accounts?
Yes as long as you hardly use them and have a valid reason to keep them
Doesnt that make you a non citizen?
no. a non resident
Lol then move back and get treated better than a citizen.
Even having a furniture in Canada? Hahahaha
Yes, as silly as it sounds
