My dumbass is imagining Chara's voice having a bit of a teasing tone when they say "partner" there. Like they're almost screwing with Frisk/the player by saying all that, knowing that they're ultimately the one in control and (depending on if you reached MTT Resort or have already done the genocide route atleast once) that there's no going back for you. After all, even if you go for the pacifist route, everyone will still die, because you decided to get a little bit too curious as to what would happen if Frisk killed everybody.
Chara is still a demon, don't get me wrong. But they're a demon due to the player's actions feeding not only Frisk's LV, but also Chara's. *And have you ever considered where all the LV from a playthrough goes when you reset for a new one?*

that game will always remind me the thing i love and fear the most about humans and why even tho i would say my opinion on humanity is best said as "i love humanity but dont like people" i still feel that portion of "i love humanity..." so much as really undertale is the epitome of showing human determination. The fact that so long as it is physicially possible and so long as there is nothing to say kill us before we achieve it than its a matter of we WILL achieve it as a collective and that the things even just 1 single human can do if they are determined is amazing to me. Really i love and fear determination and love humanity even if people can be terrible :)
