personaly i don't think anyone is the villain they do what they see is right and people hate them for what they believe say for example a "villain" wants world peace but they do some bad stuff along the way they seem like the bad guy but their motives are good but its only what I think

Although RESET, SAVE, LOAD, and ERASE are pretty powerful on its own, the OVERWRITE means you can change the whole course of something that has happened. Let's say somebody died. Although you can LOAD a save file from before they died could stop them from the death if you can stop it in time, you may not have saved something very special that happened before that save. RESETing can revert their death, but then everything you worked hard on was, well, reset. Same with ERASE. OVERWRITE, is the best option, as you can stop whatever caused the death very quickly, and you didnt even have to save anything. Also SAVE would do nothing in the situation of somebody dying. But OVERWRITE could help do anything, cause a genocide, revert a death, cause a death, ect. It just matters if it is in the hands of a good person, or bad person.

Edit: there is also a prequel series called xtale that gives more background on how this all sorta began. It’s not necessary to enjoy underverse, but I for one enjoyed learning about the past of some of the characters.

Ok so I just came here from the Remake, with Deltarune motifs inside and I realized NYXTHESHIELD barely had to change ANYTHING. The song was already cut out for the motifs before the game was released. Coincidence? I think not
I'm sure someone has pointed this out at some point, but I haven't seen anything in the comments yet so I'll say something here I guess. At 2:06 you can hear the beginning melody line of "Bring it On" for just a moment, which I think is a nice touch.
I think by far this is my favorite creation by you, Nostalgic coming right after though. The tunes between both are pretty up-beating if you get what I mean and it flows in their tunes spectrum very well.

Ok so I just came here from the Remake, with Deltarune motifs inside and I realized
NYXTHESHIELD barely had to change ANYTHING.
The song was already cut out for the motifs before the game was released.

I'm sure someone has pointed this out at some point, but I haven't seen anything in the comments yet so I'll say something here I guess. At 2:06 you can hear the beginning melody line of "Bring it On" for just a moment, which I think is a nice touch.

I think by far this is my favorite creation by you, Nostalgic coming right after though. The tunes between both are pretty up-beating if you get what I mean and it flows in their tunes spectrum very well.
