One of my big pet peeves with wigs is the coloring. I am brunette and blonde wigs look terrible on me. But the blonde colors always seem to have great coloring and lots of highlights, low lights, etc. But the browns seem to be very limited in the highlight department. I would love to see more rooting/highlights/shading in brunette wigs!
I tried the shaded cappuccino, too much thick swatches of blond. Was told the iced shaded cappuccino was more blended so it looks more brown. Has anyone tried the iced color, if so, does it show more brown?
@@darlenegera8866 I just received the iced cappuccino in the top billing . Color is much more blended. I was worried about chunky bits but none of that. It’s a great color

I use a large cap and they are hard to come by. This will be my first wig, I'm so excited. I've also ordered the Sky by Noriko, just because I found it on sale in my size. Beautiful, Jill! So beautiful. There is absolutely no way that anyone would ever know that wasn’t your real hair. Very cute style. I tend to like the body of the non hand tied. I have a hand tied by Belle Tress and it feels so thin and flat. But it looks like this one isn’t flat.
Thank you, Pamela! Yes, this one has plenty of body! I think Belletress in general is low density pretty much w/ all their styles. Many times a little too low of density for me. (there have been some exceptions).

Well, I love that Ignite in PS Blonde. I have a half dozen pieces in that color and I also think gray hair works with Venice Blonde. I like that Upstage. Very warm color and looks quite natural on you. I must also say, that pink sweater is your color. You can probably wear all kinds of lovely pinks. Thank you for reminding me of the quality of Raquel Welch wigs. I have far more Renau pieces but the Welch wigs I have are gems, definitely, and worth every penny. I treat all my wigs like spun gold. 💖💖

Hello Jennifer! Don't be afraid....I think you'll wonder what took you so long to bite the bullet. ;) I have had a hand-tied Elizabeth wig (from Jon Renau) for over 2 years, and although I did trim the flippy bits in the back when they started breaking down, it still looks pretty dang great!

I’ve never owned a wig before but my hair is so, so thin! I did buy this one but the petite cap was too small! I didn’t measure! Has to go back but I’m wondering if bangs can be cut into it, can it be thinned, and can it be pulled up in a small ponytail? I’m used to always wearing my hair up with a scrunchy hair piece. Hi Jill This looks amazing on you!!! Do you think the large cap could be made smaller to fit an average head? Find the average just a tiny bit too tight, but hope the large not too big.
I think it's definitely worth trying from the sounds of it! You CAN adjust the large up to 1/2" on each side....so feel you may have good luck getting a better fit!
I have Upstage in Iced Latte Machiatto..its a beautiful wig, but ive struggled with the amount of hair in the front...i took it to my stylist, it was better, but still not right...so, i cut off all the flippy parts and now i have a bob...not sure i like this either...time will tell...😢
I love this wig. It is the first and only wig I have bought so far. After wearing it for hours my scalp hurts so bad I can’t wait to get it off. I’m not sure if I need a large. The lady at the store said I didn’t need a large. She never measured me. I use the it stays and how do you wash it off the lace? The lace feels hard?
It Stays is water soluble....so you can either just use a damp cloth and gently (very gently) wipe it off, or do I what I do and run the lace under cold water. Inevitably some water will get a little on the fibers there in front, so I just let it rest on a wig drying rack over night. Make sure you aren't wearing your wig too tight (or even your wig grip if you wear one). I am not sure what you mean by your scalp hurts? Is it itching, tension pain, or irritation?
Thank you for responding! You are the best. The hairline on my forehead aches and hurts to touch after wearing it for a long time. I have the wig as loose as possible. I never thought of the wig grip. I should see how it feels if I loosen it. Thank you!
@@joannhernandez9884 I wonder if the lace is irritating? It can do that to some people. That wouldn't cause aching though. If I wear IT Stays I don't use a wig grip which makes the whole experience way more comfortable for me.

Hi...i tryed so many brands.... also belle madame ( i am from germany belle madame is easy to find it is german)...on all wigs the forehead always looks good and realistic but the temple down to the ears looks fake on every wig even when plucked ..... i must always leave a little bit of my bio hair out and blend them with the wig....
It is not the same style that it used to be. Style is longer. I used to buy this everytime but no longer will buy. Untold story now fits what upstage used to look like.
I had no idea Upstage was so cute and natural looking. I love that it looks just so natural and bouncy. I doubt I could pull it off - I don’t look good in straighter hair and I need some bangs. But it sure is cute on you!!
No. There is such a thing as follicle damage due to excessive pulling and irritation which can cause hair loss, but wigs do not create that kind of irritation or pulling of the hair. I have heard people worry about the lack of oxygen to the hair....which is just ridiculous. As I age I experience more hair loss, but it has nothing to do with helper hair, it's just the genetic factor I have that causes my thinning hair, and it naturally progresses with age.
Thanks Jill... new to wigs, just ordered "Simmer" because of your review. This will be my first helper hair, I'm nervous but yet excited! I hope I've chosen a good one for my first and it will be easy to style.
@@darlenegera8866 That is a gorgeous wig. Hope you love it! I do recommend searching on my UA-cam Home page for ' new to wigs? ' because I think it will be very helpful for you. I can almost guarantee you are going to feel your new wig is going to look wiggy and un-natural even when it most likely does not... and I do talk about that along with many other issues in that play list. ;)
Since it has seemed to me that your natural hair color is auburn, how come the wigs I've seen you in don't have that color? This wig has a color depth you don't often see.
Every wig I view that offers a bang is always machine stitched which isn’t realistic looking at all Why can’t they make a lace front with a natural whispy bang? I’ve got to purchase a wig like this and cut my own bangs.
I never have, and don't recommend it. I think even with a silk bonnet, it would really diminish the life of your wig very quickly. I also recommend giving your head a break. ;)

Hello Jennifer! Don't be afraid....I think you'll wonder what took you so long to bite the bullet. ;) I have had a hand-tied Elizabeth wig (from Jon Renau) for over 2 years, and although I did trim the flippy bits in the back when they started breaking down, it still looks pretty dang great!

I think most would say cool.....I would say neutral. ;).. there is some warmth, and some ash.

I’ve never owned a wig before but my hair is so, so thin! I did buy this one but the petite cap was too small! I didn’t measure! Has to go back but I’m wondering if bangs can be cut into it, can it be thinned, and can it be pulled up in a small ponytail? I’m used to always wearing my hair up with a scrunchy hair piece. This looks amazing on you!!! Do you think the large cap could be made smaller to fit an average head? Find the average just a tiny bit too tight, but hope the large not too big.
I think it's definitely worth trying from the sounds of it! You CAN adjust the large up to 1/2" on each side....so feel you may have good luck getting a better fit!

I have Upstage in Iced Latte Machiatto..its a beautiful wig, but ive struggled with the amount of hair in the front...i took it to my stylist, it was better, but still not right...so, i cut off all the flippy parts and now i have a bob...not sure i like this either...time will tell...😢
I like it better when I cut off the flippy bits… more bob’esque’. 😄 Like I do with my Jon Renau Elizabeth.

I love this wig. It is the first and only wig I have bought so far. After wearing it for hours my scalp hurts so bad I can’t wait to get it off. I’m not sure if I need a large. The lady at the store said I didn’t need a large. She never measured me. I use the it stays and how do you wash it off the lace? The lace feels hard?
It Stays is water soluble....so you can either just use a damp cloth and gently (very gently) wipe it off, or do I what I do and run the lace under cold water. Inevitably some water will get a little on the fibers there in front, so I just let it rest on a wig drying rack over night. Make sure you aren't wearing your wig too tight (or even your wig grip if you wear one). I am not sure what you mean by your scalp hurts? Is it itching, tension pain, or irritation?
Thank you for responding! You are the best. The hairline on my forehead aches and hurts to touch after wearing it for a long time. I have the wig as loose as possible. I never thought of the wig grip. I should see how it feels if I loosen it. Thank you!
@@joannhernandez9884 I wonder if the lace is irritating? It can do that to some people. That wouldn't cause aching though. If I wear IT Stays I don't use a wig grip which makes the whole experience way more comfortable for me.

Hi...i tryed so many brands.... also belle madame ( i am from germany belle madame is easy to find it is german)...on all wigs the forehead always looks good and realistic but the temple down to the ears looks fake on every wig even when plucked ..... i must always leave a little bit of my bio hair out and blend them with the wig....

It is not the same style that it used to be. Style is longer. I used to buy this everytime but no longer will buy. Untold story now fits what upstage used to look like.
I had no idea Upstage was so cute and natural looking. I love that it looks just so natural and bouncy. I doubt I could pull it off - I don’t look good in straighter hair and I need some bangs. But it sure is cute on you!!

No. There is such a thing as follicle damage due to excessive pulling and irritation which can cause hair loss, but wigs do not create that kind of irritation or pulling of the hair. I have heard people worry about the lack of oxygen to the hair....which is just ridiculous. As I age I experience more hair loss, but it has nothing to do with helper hair, it's just the genetic factor I have that causes my thinning hair, and it naturally progresses with age.

I can almost guarantee you are going to feel your new wig is going to look wiggy and un-natural even when it most likely does not... and I do talk about that along with many other issues in that play list. ;)

Since it has seemed to me that your natural hair color is auburn, how come the wigs I've seen you in don't have that color? This wig has a color depth you don't often see.
Every wig I view that offers a bang is always machine stitched which isn’t realistic looking at all Why can’t they make a lace front with a natural whispy bang? I’ve got to purchase a wig like this and cut my own bangs.

I never have, and don't recommend it. I think even with a silk bonnet, it would really diminish the life of your wig very quickly. I also recommend giving your head a break. ;)
