This conflict should have ended over a year ago. There was an agreement ready to be signed by Ukraine and Russia but the US sent their lapdog Boris Johnson to Kiev to scupper the talks.
It's been the wests objectives from since the breakup of the old soviet union to degrade Russia , Remove their government and replace it with a western puppet, but Putin was wise to the west scheming, The west, particularly US big funds and institutions wanted Russias mineral assets etc.
