🏠If you're trying to move to Germany as an American or non-EEA spouse, you might need to take a A1 German Exam! For your 'Family Reunification Visa', there's a variety of milestones that you're going to need to hit before your in-person interview. I'll be documenting my process through my immigration requirements.

Congrats! hope you are having a great time in Germany, I am in the same boat now, but doing it from Canada, hope to be back in Germany in a few months when my nationals visa is approved, my test is in 3 weeks!

Because your country can't offer certificates and exams but they offer German language courses

Duolingo for beginners
Bussu is a good app. Bear in mind no app is alone going to make one perfect the language, one always needs to supplement language learning through various means. Having said that ‘Bussu’ is still good app. I supplement it through learning over UA-cam, some other apps, Germans songs and watching my favourite shows in German.

I would advise befkre coming to Germany just learn german at least to B1 because even though the Germans know English they pretend not to know soo from experience just knkw the language A2- B1

Super. hundert% und neunundneunzig % Determination . Du katze ist nett. I practice quite a bit too and all resources- Lagune A1 is what I am doing now. :) Dhanyawad in Hindi, Danke Schun in German , Merci in French and Grasias in Spanish :)

I got my 3 month visa in the UK before I got my A1. I needed my A1 for my resident permit once I was inside the country

If you’ve learned another language in the past, I think it could be. You need to practice with actual native German speakers though!

This is good for jobbless people i think. It's impossible to study a second language if you are working 9 hours a day and no energy to study. Your brain can't cope
I work full-time in tech and I studied for this test every free second I had. I studied while I was having meals and then before/after work. I agree it would be easier for someone who’s unemployed, but I did it while being employed and this is how.
@@wanderonwards ah yes but there are jobs for ex that doesn't let u control your own free time like an online teacher for ex. If your schedule is from 2pm-11pm that's 4 hours straight work with no break at all and one hour for dinner and another 4 hour straight shift without break coz u have a list of schedules u have to call. But I have to say I think u are exceptional. You're just gifted with memory. German words are usually very long and has 4 cases to remember unlike English. Two weeks is definitely not enough to memorize the diffrent gender of nouns and verbs in different cases. Sleep is important for brain function too. It takes time to get used to the German structure and not keep comparing it to the English structure u have to think like a German in order to do this. Plus reading and comprehending German is too easy but to actually hear a native speaker speak it its like hearing a totally different word and your mind goes blank. Two weeks to learn is very impressive. I think you are just very gifted in learning a second language.
Tee Pams - that does suck, but people gotta do what they gotta do. Work cultures vary from county to country so I think our 8 hour work days would be criticized lol 😆 My Chinese colleagues work 12 hr days so boo hoo to us.
In my case, I was getting up at 5:30am studying until 9, then I would work until 5:30, and then hit the books again until the night. It was either do this or get kicked out of the country and restart the process so 🤷🏽♀️ I made it work
I don’t think I’m particularly gifted lol. I was highly motivated by deportation during a global pandemic so I made 👏🏽 it 👏🏽 work 👏🏽
@@wanderonwards I work everyday including weekends because of private students. On weekdays I work 13 hours. Because of additional partime. Yes it really depends and where u get your sources. I'm Asian so yes work here is very much like how Chinese people work.
