To say that they're ........... {TP & JJ} .. are in the same league, is certainly NO "insult" .. and, I'm pretty sure that J.J. and the band would be glad to be compared to such an iconic figure in the music world .. and I'd be willing to bet, that if Tom were around today .. he'd be a big fan of their stuff !!!

I love Tom Petty their style the writing timing Rock sound all of it.
But JJ's swamp rock music is WAY more soulful and Powerful......
