So with Charles having dirt track experience with karts is there a possibility of seeing a built by cars and cameras oval dirt kart for local compatition there in your area with Charles at the wheel? I think that would make for a cool set of vids to see that. ( Just my opinion)
I would love to see a few more videos a year like this. The commentators of Charles and possibly issac in the future are awesome. Definitely try and stay to ur roots of building wild and crazy Machines on this channel but a few races vids scrambles in next season would be awsome.
amazing how fellow racers are so helpful. Raced Bonneville for a few years, and the guys from the "world's fastest street roadster (close to 300 mph) helped us tune our injection unit. and we were a long way from 200 mph.....a few beers and pro mechanics show up for work ,,,wow
Seeing how these race karts are tweaked/finely adjusted would be great! Like a run down of the rules and regulations for the different classes and what adjustments you have to make to your kart to qualify for those races. That would be a great vid to expand on the Tillotson with! Maybe also a video showing us how to properly change your tires without scoring up your wheels?
Fantastic episode! I encourage you to keep going with racing. A 6th place overall on your first race is a solid start point. Charles in the voice over was pure gold.
Looks like a blast! Thanks for sharing that first experience guys. I’m 33yrs old and just recently got into Karting. Ready for my first track experience and this video gave me an in depth look at some of things to expect.
I loved the "bottles of beer" song on the way home! Uh- been there-done that! The worst feeling in the world is waking up behind a steering wheel. Actually, it's the second worst feeling. The WORST feeling is NOT waking up behind a steering wheel! Glad you got home safe.
Raced a GT3 in the SCCA for years in the south east, then switched to the WKA in the Yamaha spec series for a number of years, then WERA with a GSXR 750. All were fun and each had a learning curve. By far, the bikes were the most fun but also the most dangerous, FAST. Find the fast people and learn what they do. We (my wife and I) had to race on a budget but we were very competitive. Take your time and learn from your mistakes and you will do fine. Racing is VERY addictive.
Your channel is called "Cars"and cameras. Maybe check into a cheap 4 cyl car class at a local asphalt or dirt track. Just a suggestion. The go cart race was cool. Great job!
You cant take the gap if youre out of the racing line. Its the overtaking rider/drivers responsibility to pass properly. Stuffing someone on a motocross track? All day long. Road racing is a different animal.
So cool to see you racing John!! John 6th place is awesome !!! Never lift the throttle just work the brakes! 😁The first race I was in was an outlaw race at the fairgrounds. I started on pole lol 50 lap's. It was a blast!! Oh I finished 20th out of 35.💪😎
Looked like a blast! Enjoying your videos in my builds. 2 BT200X 1 stock 196 and a new Ducar 212 Bought a new BT and one well used which I did a paint job and the new Ducar. More to come.
I would really enjoy seeing an entire series like this. I think u really just need more seat time in any kind of pack racing. Competitive or not doesn't matter, just close Kart to kart racing will definitely help you get more comfortable. Just going to a rental place with 10 or more karts on the track at the same time will really help you. The karts don't really matter once you are used to running in a pack, passing in really close quarters and drafting( yes drafting is super important in karting) you can translate those skills super easily and quickly to any other kart.
I'm just glad to see you on asphalt in a kart that is low to the ground pullin' G's. It is my personal belief that most of the vehicles you build are fun, but not go-karts. That being said, I love everything you do, and it is clear you are having fun doing it!
Whenever Charles is done racing (many many years from now hopefully) he has the makings of a damn fine racing color commentator. Or he could mix it up. I see (hear) him fitting right in, in the NASCAR announcer's booth.
Great job for your first time out! You didn't wreck the cart and didn't get hurt yourself so, I consider that a win for you! If you really enjoy racing carts, then do it! Life is to short to not have fun living it!! I will always watch your content, I enjoy eveything life throws at us!
Love the forward facing camera footage on the cart. Made me feel like I was in a video game. Right on boys! Next you guys could make a video game don't you think?
Loved it. It's funny how racing goes. Often the better you get, and actually have a shot at winning the championship, can lead to more stress that erodes the fun. Vs mid pack hoonery.
I’m calling the wreak on the other guy, you were already nosed into the corner when he came down on you it looked like to me, you looked a lot faster than him to me as well but that’s how it goes I guess. I wouldn’t feel to bad about it, if you weren’t fast enough to get that close to him he’d never been able to come down on you to start with , so good driving John, nice video as always guys 🤙🏼
The content is definitely good. I personally still like your guys normal videos restoring rebuilding adding more power. All in all still a very informational and good Vid. The commentary was great also!!👍👍
It was great racing. The guy cut into You,even though he was a bit ahead,he cut into you to cut you off and messed up.Stuff happens, and it was all accidental. It looked like good fun all around.
Cool racing and learning goin on. A thing to remember that no one ever talks about is in every race there’s a 1st and a last and every position in between, and u must lose in order to get better. It’s a big picture sport and takes years to improve. Good job for first go round. FYI - That hat needs to go back to the 70yr old woman gardener it came off of. Wow!
Would have been great to know that you came down to Florida. I would have most definitely gone to watch Im not even 2hrs away from Andersen. You drove awesome John! I live in the Karting world both as a passion and a business and this was great to see you join a competitive race. Im on the enthusiast/newcomer side of the sport.
watching you have a large slice of humble pie was pretty awesome, long time coming, but instead of taking it and moving you, you continue top make excuses, look just suck it up, own your mistakes and keep making laps. it will come in time, impressing people first time out does nothing, make the laps then worry about making them faster, til then just act like the rookie you are... and own it... good job on all but that part..
More race's would be great, deliveries are making it hard for a lot of people, so far as long as you get thing's in Australia we don't have much delay, Australia post express in 3 days, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Ha! I guess some things in life are universal, no matter from where you are. Like karting-racing... The second the video started I thought "that's just like home"... And what do you know, the track in my hometown is ~0.6miles with 13 turns...Just like Andersen Race Park... And some of the footage looked like just like home...By chance now I'm living some 300m from another karting track, in our capital city and I mean "IN" - around 2 miles from the center. It's a little more packed, due to area restrictions - 970 meters with 16 turns. A friend of mine was maintaining the karts (Sodi's with GX270 engines) and from time to time a little shenanigans were allowed like putting an YZ250 on a kart chassis, etc. And no disrespect to Charles, au contraire, but IMHO racing a karting on an oval is wasting the potential...The same thing was said to me by one of the pro drivers, hanging around the track - "driving a rental is just a waste of time", while trying to get me into his 125cc two-stroke shifter kart. But I chickened out... Kinda regretting now... Cheers, great video, as always!
That crash was not your fault. You were up to the halfway point of his kart. He should've given you more space. I raced karts for 16 years un NZ from 6 years old until I was 22. Was an amazing time of my life!
So with Charles having dirt track experience with karts is there a possibility of seeing a built by cars and cameras oval dirt kart for local compatition there in your area with Charles at the wheel? I think that would make for a cool set of vids to see that. ( Just my opinion)
Would be awesome to see Charles tear up a oval track!
Kam Kartway!
please!!!!
Building a kart for competition is soo much more expensive. But I’d like to see it.
Yeah the Dust bowl 500 is that race they do every year, go check out their older videos an you’ll see it 🤙🏼
I sure learned a lot that weekend... I'd like to get a few more T4s so we can all race together locally!
How fast those carts run?
Quit being so nice run there asses off the track or spin them out like Charles said rubbing is racing
@@michaelchatham233 you wouldnt last long with an attitude like that
@@Rocketguy6969 or I would go far but would be the Villain on the track and I'm fine with that...
Bro don't stop racing !!!! This is very good for the channel , alot of other channels don't race
“What do you think of the track?”
“Uh... there’s right turns...”
Never stop being yourself Charles
I would love to see a few more videos a year like this. The commentators of Charles and possibly issac in the future are awesome. Definitely try and stay to ur roots of building wild and crazy Machines on this channel but a few races vids scrambles in next season would be awsome.

Go for the series next year. It would be awesome to watch you the hole season. And see how much you improve. Good luck
Seeing how these race karts are tweaked/finely adjusted would be great!

Love this, I grew up racing Karts for years. Brings back a lot of memories.
dude, half a second off top man in second race, you deffo have the pace. the racecraft will come with more races...get on that track!
John your driving has improved greatly. Your a steady keep at it. Your size and weight give you a great advantage.
Once you get into competition there’s a minimum driver weight.
Looks like a blast! Thanks for sharing that first experience guys. I’m 33yrs old and just recently got into Karting. Ready for my first track experience and this video gave me an in depth look at some of things to expect.

Practice, and patience John! You're a formidable force on the track with your natural racing skills, keep up the great job pal... I'm rootin' for ya!
Thanks!
Your channel is called "Cars"and cameras. Maybe check into a cheap 4 cyl car class at a local asphalt or dirt track. Just a suggestion. The go cart race was cool. Great job!
Really cool group of individuals the kart racing crowd. Especially at the local tracks.
Great to see some real competition. Also enjoyed have Charles in on the voiceover.
John had the gap! You see a gap you take it! That's racing!
You cant take the gap if youre out of the racing line. Its the overtaking rider/drivers responsibility to pass properly. Stuffing someone on a motocross track? All day long. Road racing is a different animal.
Great episode guys. Charles, I'm right there with you... Tons of pack racing to be had at the beach, especially at Lost Treasure

Good job. I love how your camera lens makes it look like you are running 45 degrees of toe-in, ha ha.
How about a Go Powersports'
/Cars and Cameras sponsored cart with Charles at the wheel?
That looks like so much fun! I gotta get myself a cart.
That 360 gopro is a trip. Felt like my head was spinning around 😵💫

I absolutely love the racing videos. Congratulations, John, on a finish for your first race.
How about team Cars and Cameras? Get Ike and Charles a cart also.
We absolutely love Charles man,
This channel is getting hot too…
Which is crazy because I’ve been watching for literally 6 years
Deff looks fun I deff would love to do stuff like that one day
I would say this is spot on to my daily club racing experiences. Well done great video!
Outstanding John! Finishing in the middle as a newbie is awesome! Just keep in racing. Your only going up in the ranks from here.
I want to see more of Charles's commentary. Nothing else, just commentary 😆
Sick run Jon !
You guys should do another build off. The first one was good but I think it would be amazing to see it with Charles in the mix
Not bad at all! Finishing midpack in the first race is a great sign! Keep up the good work!
I'm just glad to see you on asphalt in a kart that is low to the ground pullin' G's. It is my personal belief that most of the vehicles you build are fun, but not go-karts. That being said, I love everything you do, and it is clear you are having fun doing it!
This is fun for a few minutes but I like the videos of carts you all build a lot more...
GREAT START! I'm impressed. I would be well beyond just pleased if that were my first.
Whenever Charles is done racing (many many years from now hopefully) he has the makings of a damn fine racing color commentator.
Or he could mix it up. I see (hear) him fitting right in, in the NASCAR announcer's booth.
Really enjoyed this video man ! Dont give up you did well. Also Charles has the best Comments
Great job for your first time out! You didn't wreck the cart and didn't get hurt yourself so, I consider that a win for you! If you really enjoy racing carts, then do it! Life is to short to not have fun living it!! I will always watch your content, I enjoy eveything life throws at us!
I can't wait until the next video about the dragrail
I don't watch your channel to watch you race I watch it to see Ike, Charles and you instruct others how not to build karts
Love the forward facing camera footage on the cart. Made me feel like I was in a video game. Right on boys! Next you guys could make a video game don't you think?
Love the videos man can't wait for more bangers
Great job John!! Looks like a lot of fun!
Loved it. It's funny how racing goes. Often the better you get, and actually have a shot at winning the championship, can lead to more stress that erodes the fun. Vs mid pack hoonery.
Congratulations and good luck! I hope you win first place!
A pretty good first outing John. Hope to see you racing some more.

All in all still a very informational and good Vid. The commentary was great also!!👍👍
Great episode! Good driving and good racing don't always happen together.
Rubbin's racing bud! Crashes are part of the game. You did great.
That was interesting John , need more !
John, you looked like a pro out there, ya we gotta see some more of this stuff
Congratulations guys, that was a good start to your racing career..... At least you can learn quickly in this environment. 😁
You did well, congrats. That old dude has been in dozens of crashes, no worries.
You doing great on videos and updates. And love the racing you did keep it pushing.
I would definitely like to see more videos from the Cars and Cameras racing team!
Cyclekart builds, I am going to just keep putting this in every video. You guys need to build one of these!!!
I’ve been waiting for this moment Monet for years to watch you get into real kart racing
It was great racing. The guy cut into You,even though he was a bit ahead,he cut into you to cut you off and messed up.Stuff happens, and it was all accidental. It looked like good fun all around.
loved this episode. you were in my area, central florida. glad you enjoyed it.
That looked like so much fun, more practice on picking lines will move your lap times up too!
Cool racing and learning goin on. A thing to remember that no one ever talks about is in every race there’s a 1st and a last and every position in between, and u must lose in order to get better. It’s a big picture sport and takes years to improve. Good job for first go round.

You did damn good John! Sweet camera work to, well done.
That Long Lonely Two Lane Highway down 75 , yep , ive sung a many of beer on the wall songs down that stretch
Bro, you have potential. I would love to watch the whole season.
More of this content would be awesome. Even building a bigger track yourselves. Would be cool to start your own league or race .
You already got your first wreck over with. Finished in a great place for first time professional kart racing.
i’d like to see you Charles and Ike competing but not all the time we like the backyard builds.
Great video, I would love to see videos from you on a full racing season
Looked like a lot fun , 6th over all wasn't bad for your 1st time out .
The voice over was good. This seems like a fun thing to do.
It would only make sense for yall to build a competitive racing go kart and get into the circuit. Maby throw Chuck in the driver seat.
hey, for never doing it before, you did Awesome! go for it. that guy only griped at ya knowing you were new and tried to intimidate ya!
Boogity Boogity Boogity boys, let's go racin'!!!
Ike and Charles need to get matching carts and form your own racing team
I’m sure some of your carting friends would love to be on it
watching you have a large slice of humble pie was pretty awesome, long time coming, but instead of taking it and moving you, you continue top make excuses, look just suck it up, own your mistakes and keep making laps. it will come in time, impressing people first time out does nothing, make the laps then worry about making them faster, til then just act like the rookie you are... and own it... good job on all but that part..

Hell yeah 🤘🏽 I’d love to see some more kart racing.
Looks like it was a lot of fun. My personal preference is off road trail races.
Ha! I guess some things in life are universal, no matter from where you are.

Great driving John!!
good footage, like i was driving. crash was exciting . good commentary during race
Nice hat John!
it would be a great you tube series to see you guys build a cart and race it to see how well you can do
Yeah that was very cool racing there awesome awesome footage
Charles is funny! Love the commentary. Great job, John. Where's Ike?
