    Bland dad is really something. He’s got the ultimate blended family with his, hers and her sisters kids and he’s doing his damndest to make this one big working family. That’s quite a man if you ask me. A real life hero just going through life the best he can trying to make life good for a bunch of kids and the woman he loves. Good on him for the effort he puts in. I have to like him for that.

    Discipline problems are deeper than being overcrowded. This family really needs some help with parenting. Having watched a lot of the Radfords, where everyone gets along, and there are many more children, shows that large families can be peaceful. Bless them for taking on 3 more children, but blended families can be notoriously difficult to navigate.

      @@Yosetime their name is Radford. They have a youtube channel..they vlog their daily lives. There's no way their children are play acting being well-behaved every time the camera is recording. Watch some tv presentations of other large families, and you'll seen the difference. Plus some of their children are very young, much too young to be coached into behaving all the time they're being filmed.

    • @Yosetime
      @Yosetime 3 роки тому +13

      I have raised my own kids and am a professional childcare worker, I don't need a UA-cam channel to tell me how well behaved children can or cannot be. Not everything you see on the internet is reality. The truth is... families are complex. The vague use of the phrase "well-behaved" determines nothing. Some "well-behaved" children 'seem' ideal but that is an illusion. "Well-behaved" on camera without proper context is the worst illusion . Except for times when uneducated or inexperienced people choose to see only what's on the surface and post nonsense on the internet. Large families can be peaceful, true. But that hasn't got much to do with "well-behaved".

    • @divahc1
      @divahc1 3 роки тому +12

      @@Yosetime I don't know why you're so determined that the Radfords can't possibly be as well-behaved as they appear on camera?! I have a degree in early childhood education, have worked with many, many families in a number of roles, and worked for myself, also. I'm well-acquainted with the fact that no child is perfect, that all children have their moments, that doesn't mean that this family is not a close, loving, well-balanced group of children and adults, who, for the most part, get along very well.

      And even thought I only have three siblings that I live with I do have two older siblings who either have a family on their own or are in the process of getting married and the older siblings I have never lived with because of the distance between us, so I have never had a big family all in one house, but when we all get together it is the best roadie, nouse house ever and I love it and look forward too see all of them again.

They all were productive members of society. One oh my great uncles, went to West Point. Most of the boys served in the military. I have a very large family. My favorite photo is of them as adults. It hangs on my wall. All are gone except my last great uncle. The baby of the family.

    My mom had four of us and although I can’t imagine life without them, I also can’t imagine her having anymore. I was so thankful to move out when I move on college campus. Growing up my sister and I had to share a room and she would snore every night!!! On top of that I had to be like a second mom to everyone because I was the oldest. At first I enjoyed the fact that there was four of us but as I got older (there is a decent age gap between me and my younger siblings) they became increasingly more annoying to me. My upbringing almost caused me to only want two children, but now that I’m married to my wonderful husband I would consider having more than two. Maybe having a big family isn’t so bad if done with much love and sacrifice. 🤗

    If I had such a big family, obviously it would be cramped quarters and easier to get into arguments, I would hope to find even a small piece of land close by or an allotment or even just a country park to take the children to often with outdoor activities. When you're out in nature, it's easier to feel free, communicate, get a wider perspective. Camping trips are great and so kind of dad to organize that but they can be costly and not easy to manage with that many children.

    Oh dear, having all those girls and demanding they all look perfectly groomed before leaving the house, is asking for trouble. Then putting them in beauty pageants with the emphasis on beauty and looks is bound to bring or competitiveness. As Dr Phil would say, " I don't ask myself why there is sibling rivalry, I am myself why there wouldn't be"! It's really teaching them to value things that are not important. Dad seems to have more sense on this issue. When mum said, " May the best girl win", I cringed. And, then she wonders why there's rivalry 🤷🏼‍♀️ She needs to resolve her issues, and not try and do it through her girls. Children don't belong to you, they are your responsibility, they aren't playthings. I hope she sees things through a different lens when she sees this show.
