- New firmware ver. 3 fixed bugs and added some settings from ver.1 -ver.2
The sensor plates will now work steadily. Only for devices from the first batch with serial numbers from SN 001 to SN 250.
Instructions and firmware here:
drive.google.c...
There are 3 new pages in the calibration settings:
- TOUCH THRESHOLD sets the value below which a plate will be interpreted as pressed.
- RELEASE THRESHOLD sets the value above which a plate will be interpreted as unpressed.
- KEYBOARD DIAGNOSIS visualises the state and unprocessed pressure level of each plate.
-solved some problems with pressure in TWIN and SPLIT modes
- solved the problem of the keyboard that incorrectly receives the current active plate
- added switching octaves to two and split mode, this only works if the note quantizer is non-microtonal.
- New octave switching in SPLIT & TWIN modes
Am I reading the instructions correctly that I have to actually open this up? It would be nice if you showed this process, and a video or a picture of "the Teensy 4.0 microcontroller breakoutboard on the back of the keyboard".
I've attached some pictures to the instructions. But, yes. I'll shoot a video next week. Thanks.
@@ELTAmusic I'm not sure I even have the tool-- much less the eyesight-- to unscrew the ten back screws, if that is what is required.
update done, as said in the notes, you MUST use a good USB cable ( ie which supports data transfer) :). Thanks Arseniy
Flawless upgrade ! Thanks Arseniy ;)

Nice!
😎🤙
How long should it take to upload. Mine stays at 8% on the teensie program. I also don't see a progress bar. Possibly my cable? I'll try another
The firmware is installed in a few seconds. Then you are doing something wrong.
The most important thing is that you must have the external power off, a good cord and remember to press the button on the Teensy unit when connecting it
@@ELTAmusic I got it to work. Just needed a different cable. Everything works swimmingly.
The serial number is the number on the sticker in the middle of the bottom cover. Is that correct?
Yes.
Cheers! All the best.
Done! I will add that I initially plugged my cable into a USB hub and the teeny application didn't like that and didn't recognize the connection even though the light on the teeny board button light up . However, once I plugged directly into a USB port directly on the bus of the motherboard, the teeny recognized the connection and the upload succeeded. This is simply information for the other folks upgrading the firmware.
