3D Printed Skittles Sorting Machine

- I designed this skittles sorting machine using tinkercad (tinkercad.com). Everything is 3D printed except for the electronics. It uses a TCS3200 for color sensing. It is powered by 3 DC motors, and has some additional sensors to detect the positions of the discs and to tell when a skittle has been dropped.

now that is a work of art ,its 2015 who sorts stuff with hands now?
very nice dude
I would like a 10h video of this, sorting out dozen bags of skittles. Its like video of a fireplace or soothing rain sound for nerds.
А можно такой же, но чтобы пары носков после стирки собирал? ;)
Great work Nathan, really well made. I desperately need to get into 3-D printing.
+egenriether Thanks! Yeah you definitely should. That was one of the best purchases I've ever made. It really opens up the possibilities. You have some really cool projects BTW. I love the telepresence robot! Coincidentally I was actually thinking of working on something like that. Yours is more ambitious than I was even thinking. Looks awesome.
I saw some sorting devices with a different concept and much faster sorting the skittles or m&m’s
This design was more about compactness. I didn't really consider optimizing for speed on this project.
This is so cool.
This is amazing
nice work!
How many skittles were harmed (eaten) during this production? Also, why the obvious hate on M&M's?
+Tim Ashley I ate quite a few. I'm not gonna lie.

Really nice! Are the sketches available anywhere?

OCD machine.
This is so racist.
+Sebastian Rosenberg Yes, a white machine with the help of some black parts separates other colors into their compartments. :D
