Every boat layout is a compromise. I like this layout as it allows us to do the family thing but also allows me to do the sportsfishing thing. Having said that, I am now looking at cabin options as I find myself doing less sportfishing and more exploring with family. Natural progression I think. I will probably be back in a little tinny in my old age chasing whiting when the kuds have left home etc.
