You are so awesome! I love your videos! Have you tried Brazilian spinach? I’ve heard that Brazilian spinach + perennial peanut make a killer ground cover combo.
I'm jealous of your sweet potato. The kangaroos at my place, eat most of ours. My cows love it. We like the leaf too! Some ground covers I like are sambung, Okinawa Spinach, pinto peanut, ginger, pumpkin, gotu kola, plantain (herb), comfrey and purslane. Loving your videos. Thanks!
I've been looking for them to no avail yet. I know other tropical regen farms use them with great success so all I can think is maybe 5000mm of rain per year is too much...but I will keep an eye out.
@@kristenkrashatsuenodevida7699 pigeon pea is very easy from seed if you can get them posted or find a neighbor growing them. The bean/pea is also great food but takes a bit of work to process.
Beautiful turmeric!
Growing greens and living clean - that’s the way to - good job 👏
Calathea alouia sweet corn root. Grows like turmeric and is edible.
Thank you!

Great suggestions, thank you
Have you tried mandioca/Yuka? Perenial peanut is a common nitrogen fixing ground cover used in Florida. Not edible but helps build soil.
Yes, we have it everywhere. I just think if it as more a mid layer crop than groundcover
@@kristenkrashatsuenodevida7699 appreciate you sharing all this stuff! You remind us to focus on context and that's important!
@@thehuntfortruth yes! Grow what thrives in your location. That's very important.
Arrowroot would also be a good groundcover. It grows easy just like turmeric.
Ah I didn't think of arrowroot, but that would be a good addition. Does it propagate from a piece of root, like turmeric and ginger?
@@kristenkrashatsuenodevida7699 yes rhey propagate just like ginger and turmeric in my opinion even easier.
If Pigeon peas will grow in your zone they are a great easy mid strata pioneer legume, can be a chop/drop and thinned to any density you like.

They can be eaten fresh too
