Fair play to Millwall, you looked a lot brighter in the second half and I thought you would kick on and steal a point. Not much between both sides overall I thought. Good luck for the rest of the season 🔰
No complaints from me, they were the better side and played some nice stuff. I would have liked him to have given Mayor a go, as one of the subs. But a fair result today sadly. 🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁🦁
I'm just beginning to worry a tad about whether we have enough about us in the squad to actually keep us up. We probably need to strengthen the squad but will quite possibly end up weakened after the window. An appointment is needed asap, as would you join a managerless (sorry, Head Coachless ) club? Here's hoping for a successful new year and good luck Dan with the operation .
We are the huffers and puffers of this league.. we get by. So, when we win, it’s due to really hard work and a tremendous effort however, it’s not possible to sustain every game. So, we have days like today when the opposition make us look like a league 2 team because we just don’t have the quality that the other teams have over 90mins. We can only play quality football for 25mins and then we’re done, re: Joe Edwards era…
Yes, Dennis. At Home, the crowd makes a real difference and we HAVE to battle and fight and win the "50/50;s" but just relying on our ability is,rarely, enough. We don't have that luxury away.
We’ve been drifting a bit for 5 or 6 seasons now. Even under Bomber we looked kind of solid but just not a team. We need a new gaffa quickly, and I know how boring this will sound,,,but we need time to become a team and not just 11 individuals. There have been some good signs recently, but there’s still much to do. The club need to back the new man, who ever it is, and we need to become a solid unit. Also a bit of luck on the injury front wouldn’t go a miss. COYLs.
Tanganga's performances made us forget that last summer we all knew the ageing defence had to be replaced to compete in this division.A priority for the new manager (after staying up) .A fit Coburn could inspire Langstaff and Ivanovich to up their games but money is going to have to be spent, just to stay where we are.
I’m not writing him off or anything, but I watched Ivanovic closely today and I’m starting to ask some questions. I do think he can come good (though I’m not convinced he’s worth the money we paid for him). My bigger concern with Ivanovic though is that despite being a big lad, he plays much more like a small striker. Hes not very physical, doesn’t press very hard, doesn’t seem that great at winning aerial duals and seems to get pushed around a lot. He just doesn’t seem like the big target man that we’ve been crying out for. I don’t question his ability but I think we desperately need a target and I’m not sure he’s it. Anyone comparing him to Mitrovic is having a laugh bc they’re miles different in style. It could change with time but he seems to prefer getting the ball played into feet and running at defenders and/or running onto through balls as opposed to battling for balls with his back to goal. Only time will tell I Suppose.
Tbf the kid just turnt 20 so he's still learning, we've seen he's an ariel threat and target with his 2 goals, I think we were expecting langstaff to be the proper goalscorer and I still think he could be, despite being quite unlucky with alot of his shots it's not broken his spirit and he's still a useful asset in the play, maybe we just need a proven league striker that is on the taller side to help them out.
@ Hes scored free headers, yes. We haven’t seen him really battle to win headers though and it doesn’t seem like that’s his game. Anytime he’s made the first 11 he’s tended to get pushed around and look a bit lightweight. I’m not saying he won’t be good, but he’s certainly not the big target man the team has been crying out for the last few seasons, which is a bit disappointing and makes me sort of question if the recruitment team really has a clue.
Perhaps it would be a good idea in this January transfer window for our new manager (whoever that will be) to send Langstaff and Ivanovic out on loan to two separate league 1 clubs, in the hope it will give both of them more confidence to regain their ability to score goals again? Then our manager can look to buy in/loan in two experienced strikers (either from the Premier League or the Championship) who can score the goals that will win us games and get us climbing up the table again.
Just hope the new manager emphasises the need to pass the ball and be more comfortable on the ball and not constantly keep banging it forward to nobody in the hope something might happen cos in the first half we were awful for doing it a bit better second half.but we gotta start passing it better and have more ball retention and build an attack so more can join in. The new manager has got to address that every day in training surly .
Hope the Op goes well, which is the most important thing. Agree with most of that though Emakhu having to go off, probably, didn't help. Like you, he played the team I wanted. As always, Norwich attacked from the off, and we sometimes tried to fo the same but didn't with any conviction until it was often " too little too late."
The game was lost in the first half when they scored two goals. we haven't scored two for almost three months now. The second half was better, but take esse and tanganga out and the team is average we need some good sighnings in January
lol the team is average WITH THEM. Without them we are league 1 standard. We’re not signing anyone in Jan other than 1, maybe 2 loans, so don’t get excited.
@DanielWynn-v7b what do you know your analysis is pathetic if you had your way honeyman would still be playing in a 10 who can't do nothing with the ball at his feet 2 goals in 88 games
Yeah team was ok , but defence let us down terribly , I don't mind. Livermore his team selection and formation are pretty good , just those defenders today were awful at times COYL
Defending was a joke dan, both looked fouls but not strong enough. Murray wallace do me a favour how has he ever played as a professional i will never know.
@DanielWynn-v7b Hes also done a decent job filling in for Cooper. Cooper is one of the best defenders in the division but Wallace has looked alright. He had one bad game today and now fans are all over him. It’s ridiculous really
you can't play Saville & De Norre they are the same player. Bryan is League 1 & I quite like the rest. It's the centre mids positioning, both are clueless, wandering out wide leaving huge holes. They just sit deep leaving the oppositions' centre mids to run the whole game every time. Never been addressed for 10 years, cos we don't have the £ for an attacking box to box centre mid who shoots. Why not try Esse there?
Very frustrating last 20 minutes. Why did we not press? Why was our backline so deep? Norwich just kept passing it round the back and were there for the taking
Inconsistencies thats my view of today game and our season we need to get the new coach /manager in asap evaluate the squad and rebuild for me thats not a massive job just need to get rid of the older members and blend it with some experience and our youngsters Wallace, Bradshaw and Hutchinson to name a few coyl
Same old story, toothless in attack and we never looked like scoring although we looked more composed in the 2nd half.2 incredibly scrappy goals but can't complain about the result. As I keep saying midtable at best because we will grind out enough 1-0's to keep us up.🦁🤔🦁
I don't think we have to get rid of Langstaff just yet, he's playing in a new system and has stepped up a couple of leagues. Once the new manager comes in, that could make all the difference, but I do think we have to get rid of some of the older dead wood. and play him in two up top I mean, Langstaff has scored plenty, and he gets into these positions. I just think his confidence has taken a beating, but I think he will come good. I would say more of was Milo worth the 2.5 Million paid for him..? Could we have got a better striker for that sort of money? From what I am watching for a big lad he doesn't challenge much in the air and doesn't do much pressing, were Langstaff does press a lot more. So I would say Langstaff needs more quality balls as he's been unlucky not to score more and some good saves have stopped him from scoring, but he just has to figure out better keepers and defenders in this league and needs to change something to get him scoring again as the goal size doesn't change. But again if the new manager comes in with a new style of play and the other youngster can get more balls into the box thats where he scores from. I would be more concerned about defenders and midfield, to be honest, but that's just my opinion
@JonnyMillwall91ivanovic is 19, not from this country and is still learning and adapting to this country and division. Langstaff is 27, has played far more minutes whilst also having the advantage of being from here so has more understanding of what he was walking into. Truth be told I don’t think either are up to it just yet. Ivanovic at least though has plenty of time on his side.
@@jameswilson4861 and that’s what we should be happy with and expect as Millwall fans. We’re a small club with a small fan base & small budget. You’re talking rubbish and have a Short memory. Murray has been quality for us overall in his Millwall career. Was player of the year a few years ago.
Wallace is shocking now no pace at all would like to see harding with tanganga

He literally won our player of the season ffs. He’s older now, it happens. Doesn’t change the fact he’s been an amazing player for us
@@ColinS89 yep. I’ll admit I was dreading him coming back in, but he’s not done bad at all. Iffy yesterday but who wasn’t.

Get Murray Wallace out a division one player George honeyman out Joe Bryan out toilet spread wage theif
I’m afraid Bradshaw longstaff & watmore need to go. A decent centre half & striker needed & if emakhu is now out injured give mayor a chance 👍
