I am flabbergasted this got any dislikes. These kids did a nice rap on the history of Henry the Eighth. I thought the I-Pad with the quill pen was clever. I mean , come on, there was no rap music in the 1500's either if you want to get that technical. .And while Anne of Cleves lived longer, Catherine Parr was the only one who survived as a wife. This was a pleasant thing to watch. Loved all the kids. The costumes were cute and the song was spot on with the history aspect. Great job.
Heres the times of the wives, so you can pick your favourite Catherine Of Aragon 1:08 - 1:30 Anne Boleyn 1:37 - 1:52 Jane Seymour 2:18- 2:39 Anne Of Cleeves 2:46 - 3:05 Catherine Howard 3:07 -3:23 Catherine Parr 3:29 - 3:54 :)
How could someone dislike this? Maybe their voices weren't perfect, but they're kids! It's a very nice rap, I would kinda like to see them remake this because they're older.
This is just the sweetest thing. I'm so happy to see children so young intrigued by history. The future will be bright for sure. They are darling children and they got their facts straight too. Nothing but positivity for all of them. Keep that love of learning it shall serve you well.
Did anyone notice that when Anne Boleyns hand showed with all her rings that she had a really weird looking extra finger with a purple ring? Leave a like if u did
When Anne was accused of witchcraft, many people said that she had 6 fingers and birthmarks on her neck, before people believed that those things were symbols of the devil
@@sekaiza7108 Anne wasn't accused of witchcraft, it was adultery & treason. And she didn't have 6 fingers; that was written a long time after she died by a Catholic who was portraying Anne negatively because Henry VIII broke with Rome to marry her. Not that having 6 fingers is a bad thing, it's just that she didn't! It's a widely believed myth though.
@@hi-qz4bo As I said above, Anne was never charged with witchcraft. She was charged with adultery with 5 men, & plotting to kill the king. Not many people actually believed she was guilty, but you didn't disagree with Henry VIII unless you wanted to be next on the scaffold.
This is awesome!!! High quality, done very well! The song is great, the costumes are cute, the editing is fantastic, and the kids performed wonderfully!!! Great work!
Hi Tim, this is a brilliant video and cleverly performed by the children. It takes great creativity and a lot of time to write something like this. Would you mind if we performed it in our class assembly? If so, what is the music (I know it's Greensleeves!)
Thanks for getting in touch Dave. As I've replied in email to you, I'm very happy for you to perform this and I've sent a link for the music which I created from lops and samples. I'm happy for anyone to perform this but would really like to know who and where (it would be nice to know how many schools use it - or even watch it)
Fantastic. Whilst it was made for fun as a school project it has some educational value. It can be a useful aid to wake up those who think history is all about dates.
OMG!!! that was amazing my dauter has encouraged me to watch this she was right it was so good she loves this song all i here in the kitchen is the kids in the backround and her singing it none stop (i think she would have wanted to do it aswell but i dont think she could choose who she would want to be)
Huzzah, ladies & lords, for your fine performances & writing! Really funny & entertaining :) Historical rap is my fave (very niche!) musical genre; Horrible Histories is my fave show, & you guys totally have the comedic vibe that won them multiple awards, so I'm not surprised you won awards too. I know it's 7 years later, but performers, be proud of your childhood selves!
This is so cute, I don't know why so many hate, they're kids and they're playing, obviously they were not going to make a complete biographical video with documents, books and letters. It's fun and it's a good way to teach them while they play
Just spotted someone posted a "dislike" for this. I don't mind dislikes, but I do wish people would leave a comment as to why, so I can learn and improve or choose to disagree.
This is FANTASTIC!! Who could possibly not want to like this? They have put in 100% effort towards all this, and have worked so hard. Are they 8 in this video? They must be teenagers now,and I hope their high school teachers and everyone can see this. They deserve a credit for this.
@@chocolatebar1592 According to the some of the comments here and some email I've received it has been used in several schools, either just shown in class to help engage the kids or as part of assembly, where I know at least one asked permission to perform it themselves. It's a great compliment to all involved in making this. If you like this, you might also like (on my channel) the earlier "Great Fire of London" (scripted by my 7 year old daughter) , and later "Tut Tut" (Tutankhamun) and "Greece is the Word" (Theseus and the Minotaur) all involving similar cast.
Tim this is my favorite song thank you for making this song I always sing it and share it with my family and I hope you could reply also i can memorize the whole song!!!! :DDDDDD
Bravissmi! Bravo to all the kids and the parents too! This is really cute and well done, the children articulated their lines so clearly and it was a joy to watch. This one of the reasons why You Tube should disable comments that are for kids!!!
Catherine Parr
Did anyone notice on Anne of Cleves line Henry was holding an I pad
Brilliant. You're the first person to notice that (or at least to mention it) Well done!

Yes because he als o mentions profile picture xD
Srsly. Why? It is supposed to be the tudor times
More historically accurate than The Spanish Princess.
REALLY THOO
Great show but still
Historical fiction from Phillipa Gregory so parts are based of the book so if you know the truth and research why should you let it bother you
🤣

Six STUMBLES compared to this
This is adorable!! I especially love the way the wives just start getting fiercer in their Henry claims. And tiny Henry!!
Jane Seymour's part was really fire for some reason

I think their costumes are appropriate. They seem like they are trying to put on appropriate accents. This a rather sad rap about divorce and death.
I think the rap version of the Henry 8th wives was pretty cute.
we did this in our Tudor Christmas and I know all of the words
Evie Jenkins COOL
The algorithm has chosen this after 10 years. Now we need a retake with the same kids lol
Herding 10 year olds is hard enogh. Can you imagine trying to herd 19 year old girls?
When I'm a bit older... I want to have a daughter like yours, to share my love for history~
