I just traded my 2020 M340 for a 2023 M240. I love my new ride but miss the sound of the 340. They keep making the cars sound worse for emissions sake. I live less than 30 miles from AA I need to go check them out. Sounds great!
There is no cutting required for the installation, right? Also, can I use it just for sound without installing any software? Will it cause any harm to the vehicle or the turbo? Will the vehicle malfunction light turn on?
Notice how even in sports + mode, smoke only comes out the left exhaust pipe. I still cant figure out why, even with coding the flap to be open at all times. Anyone have an answer to this?
Easiest way to do it, is ti turn on the car and put it in sport mode. Rev it a couple times till you hear the valve in the exhaust open snd go unplug the wire attached to the valve in the rear. It will then stay open always and will never close.
Stock exhaust has only one valve on the right side. The right side doesn't have a muffler and when the valve is closed, it routes all exhaust flow through the muffler.
@@nsfung10 bro, what do you think about mine? Getting a GESI 50225 cat, it’s 400cpsi, I have an MPE , my car is 2021. Will the sound be a lot louder or not because of the cpsi? Thanks in advance
No I believe the older generations (I purchased the car in 2019) came without it and the stock burbles and pops were louder and more pronounced than the newer models
Hey bro do you get any in cabin smells? I'm catless and the smell is really bad, wondering if adding a high fliw would completely get rid of it. I drive my little bro around a lot and don't want him smelling that bs
@@nsfung10 same here but when it's wet out the windows fog up when I do recirculate, so I don't like using it. Looks like I'll have to go back to stock then, thanks for the help btw
@@willjames734 ik im a year late, but what really helps reduce the smell in cabin is replacing that small gasket between the dp and turbo. It’s one time use so if not replaced could cause a small leak.
the AA downpipe in your video was tested against a wall, which of course we know provide reverb, but the stock wasn't.
regardless was a good and useful video on comparing stock downpipe to a highflow downpipe

Why did you turn the car off five seconds after the valve opened?
No CEL?
Did you get a check Engine light on
thats a beautiful car you got there.
btw can u get that spoiler from bmw itself?
This is an aftermarket autotecknic spoiler

Right. Yes. No. Why would they sell something that harms the vehicle? And no.
Wow so cool
Lol
Any turbo spool with catted downpipe?

i have m340 i same shit but sometimes smoke comes from both holes and im kind a confused
@@damirshukurov792 Same. Never figured out why but everybody else has it so I started to worry less about it.
It helps the engine warm up once the engine warms up both valves open up. And an increase in back pressure gives more mpg

Did you have to get a tune? or just install and you're good to go? did you just get the downpipe or did you also get the turbo flange gasket?
I have a JB4, no tune- no CEL. And I just got the Downpipe- I used the gasket from the old Downpipe.
@@nsfung10 thanks

Congrats it’s amazing to modify and drive! 2020 or 2021? I heard the exhaust note has less pops and burbles in 2021- never seen it firsthand
@@nsfung10 it’s a 2020, it’s not super loud but it pops a ton. You can definitely hear them though.

Any CEL with this catted downpipe? Are you tuned? Also, how much louder does it make the car? Hard to tell in the video
No CEL, no tune. this video is just hi flow catted down pile. And it’s a lot louder. I now have a dinan exhaust which makes this even louder.

does that mess with the warranty at all?
Warranty is only void if they can prove a modification caused the issue.

Nope

very small difference. I'm not doing this stupid downpipe change ;D It does not give anything but sound and +0.01 HorsePower more xD
