- Accessible only by boat, this contemporary post-and-beam cottage is set on an island among the water and boreal forest of the Canadian Shield. The timber structure is Douglas fir from western Canada and the finishes are locally sourced spruce, birch, maple, pine and walnut.
The main congregation space cantilevers over Burritts inlet, providing infinity views to the east in the morning, the west in the evening, and the south throughout the day, animating the atmosphere for all. A massive granite fireplace anchors this area, with sleeping and bathing facilities nestled in the forest beyond.

Its very nice but over the water no
Great architect 👍🏻
Soooo sweet!!!
I suppose that the owners know the likelihood of ice jams.
Ice jams happen on flowing rivers when the path of the water is obstructed by ice. Only wave action on G Bay. Were you concerned about the docks? Winter is always fun around floating docks.
@@gregburns6636 Docks go strange places when the ice breaks up. My dock-very substantial- apparently was beamed up by Martians. We looked and looked and advertised.
