    I agree with your surprised. Another surprise for me was Leonidas vs Schoolboy. Absolutely did not see that coming and I'm happy for him. Leonidas definitely deserved the win.

    The thing about Devon is his endurance isn't world-class when he's going to the redline, but if he's at 90-95%, he seemingly can pull for days. I also think that press of Levan's put some serious strain on Devon's bicep, and I dont think it ever recovered from it.

    Tobias doesn't have a hook at all. He just kinda panics whenever he is put there. His only move is a top roll outside of straps, which is elite of course

    • @minhhale
      @minhhale 5 місяців тому +2

      He did do a semi-high hook to pin Kamil in round 2. It wasn't a full on hook like Ivan did though, he really needs to work on this.

    Totally agree about Tobias, the way to take a presser's ability away from them is by taking the center with a hook while controlling the wrist by suppinating a little and forcing a wrist to wrist connection and not allowing the opponent to either flop or take your pronation away. I'm pretty sure he has the tools.

    • @jayclean5653
      @jayclean5653 5 місяців тому

      Yeah, he needed to take Kamils pronator and get him on his bicep.

  • @minhhale
    @minhhale 5 місяців тому

    People don't talk about this much but the fact that you could hook John out of strap was very impressive. John was able to take the wrist of Petrenko and Irakli, he is no joke.

    • @jayclean5653
      @jayclean5653 5 місяців тому

      A lot of it is due to Krasi's speed. Oleg is strong af, but he's slow, and it gives John time to get a good position. As for Irakli, he's a toproller, and there's not a better toproll at 105kg when John's in good form, imo.

    Krasi do you think that heavy isometric training trains both strength and endurance? But maybe lose coordination?

    I don't think that Devon gassed out or something like that, but Levan went all out in the next rounds after round 1. Levan also didn't even try to go sideways in round 1, and it looks like it he was just hesitant due to mental factors.

  • @CalebD.Falcone
    @CalebD.Falcone 5 місяців тому

    It’s not that Devon gassed out, it’s that Levan changed the angle after round 1 instead of trying to control him he just acknowledged that he wasn’t going to have a full cup so he put everything into rise and pronation, and he was simply too strong there.

  • @ThinkStoicPersona
    @ThinkStoicPersona 5 місяців тому

    I don't think that levan stop in round meant anything lol. Levan said it himself he was just testing the waters and he did not intend to go for the flash pin

  • @HumptyHampi
    @HumptyHampi 5 місяців тому

    Common nonsense in Devon match is that Devon gassed out, have you ever heard Devon to say it? NO! Because Devon never gassed out, Levan is just so much stronger than Devon, that Devon is unable to hold Levan's sidepressure at all. Levan is king, nothing to do with Devon's endurance. :)))

    Maybe training 3s/5s instead of singles would've been better but still if someone is that much stronger in general, they'll gas you.

    • @Tasmanaut
      @Tasmanaut 5 місяців тому +1

      I don't really think it works the way he's talking about. You can't really train for strength vs endurance. Endurance is more determined by your genetics/muscle fibre type. Being much stronger will appear as more 'endurance' in general because you're not having to redline to win a round and you therefore recover faster. Devon went well beyond his limit in that first round, it was pretty amazing but he completely emptied the gas tank. If he was against someone much weaker, he could pull them for hours as he does in practice. He hasn't lost that at all. He did all he could do as far as training goes, he's 49. If he'd trained lighter weights, more reps, people would say he should have done heavy singles. there was no way to win.

  • @scottbercume7294

    Hahaha😂Why does nobody see that Levan and the Georgia team planned everything against Devina’s pronator, hand,wrist,forearm, and bicep being destroyed first round by a centerline half kings move done on purpose, because the majority of the community ignorantly thinks Large arm wrestlers are one dimensional. Devon thought this and trained for an extremely hard cupping and side pressure from Levan so Levan finished match first round by destroying the extremely lighter Devon with this move then an easy press. Plus Levan constantly slipping out for the strap Destroyed the hand as well. Second round and then on was easy sailing, but none of the supposed experts see this???😂😂😂
