This is such a great explanation! Reading the history of CliftonStrengths is one of the things that makes me advocate for Strengths.

Mr Mahoney. Thank you. I’m in a life transition being a semi retired Pastor and a new business owner (Coach). One of my clients has just taken the strengths finder assessment. I hadn’t heard of it until early this week. That was my loss. Sir. Can I please say, you’re an exceptional communicator. You were totally in your comfortable space. It was authentic and enthusing. There were gold nuggets of wisdom and understanding and pearls of life experience throughout your talk.
Alas, I live in Australia and at 60, I’m not travelling any longer. So attending your workshop is not likely. My loss. I have been to visit family in Cleveland and Cincinnati when we lived The UK. Manchester, England is a lot closer then Sydney.
First. Please let me say, because of you I’m pursuing The Clifton Strengths process. I might take on the training to become a facilitator.
As you were talking about teams, I imagined the various faculties of a local rural, remote high school (167 students) I’m working at for the remainder of this year, as a Learning Support Officer. I work with 12 to 18 years old, some on the spectrum, some are not and my main support student works with quite a severe instance of Tourette’s.
I began to think how much more effective, for our students, might our school be if our teachers under took the Clifton Strengths assessment and took time to grow their strengths deeply. I began to thing how cool it would be if it helped the teaching staff so much it began to positively influence the students lives, wholistically… Again, thank you.
