Hey Brian, if you have some 1099 income, can you offset short term capital losses more than 3K against the 1099 income. I know there is a limit of 3K against ordinary income, but was curious if the 1099 income was an exception.
Normally you trade on margin if you have a pdt account. Business credit is normally applicable when working with suppliers/vendors and qualifying for financing
