- It's time for another Anime Figure Preorder Roundup. I'm still waiting on Mio but it seems like it won't be for much longer. In the meantime, Good Smile Company, Max Factory, FREEing, Alter, and plenty others are bringing quite a lot to the table. Oh and Gacha is still dominating the market. Boy howdy they are sure tempting.

The Akane figure has 3 versions with different extras on Amiami. The basic one is only 18k, 20k is the middle price point.
Dang I wasted all that time talkin about it when you could just get the faceplate on AmiAmi lol
I came here to the comments to say the same thing. The faceplate is also available on good smile US as the "special version" and also comes with an acrylic tablet with screenshots from the show.
@@meimeihughes I had a feeling she would be on the US store. I think something similar happened with the Taiga figure that recently went up. Weird regional restrictions and whatnot
Kohai’s Collection did a great video about the Yoshitoku x F:NEX collabs where they compared a couple F:NEX ones to real a Yoshitoku doll. Granted there is a fair bit of speculation, but it’s still worth a watch if you’re curious about how they compare.
Great roundup! The gacha figures have me in a straight up chokehold at this point haha. I’m hoping that we’ll start seeing some Wuthering Waves figures soon as well since it’s releasing later this month. Their character design is freakin peak! Yinlin is such a mommy.

I'm normally not one to really preorder stuff, but man the Amiya sold me. Though I'm still not trusting Shanghai Arts a lot that is mainly because of the leaning issues the figures by them tend to have. Since no such potential is here I'm really looking forward to this one. I just love those eyes.
Also tried my luck with Goodsmile Europe first time for that cheap shipping and the preorder bonus. So let's see how this will end.
Also thought about the Claynel Frieren, but for some reason AmiAmi doesn't ship her to where I live which is kinda strange. I do also think while I really love the sculpt and think she probably has the best face yet the colors are just a bit too flat and I really want to see how the Goodsmile one turns out first before anything.

AmiAmi not shipping her is maybe due to Claynel or Aniplex? I don't know why they'd restrict sales in the first place though. But yeah I have a feeling when GSC shows their Frieren colored it will impress

I preordered Zundamon she’s my first popup parade I’ve decided since I have her mini figure and a acrylic stand from my fave Zundamon song (Zunda party night) I’ve decided to collect her hope she doesn’t suddenly get a million over priced scales.
I can see her getting a few more figures at the very least

Great roundup as always. These are just my comfort videos. Btw, I would love it if you could maybe linke the music you'te using as BGM in the description or something. I really like the music you're picking and I would love to know where it's from (presumably games most of the time).

The zero two prototype pop up parade actually looks really clean and colors are awesome...but as you said...won't know until the real product comes to the shop
1:14:26, her gloves aren't fishnet, they're lace. Really similar in design to a lot of like, lingerie bra/bralettes that have lace, and stockings are made with it sometimes too(Think fem!Byleth's leggings) but it's not *fishnet...* It's not a very important difference, but in circles more centered around fashion it's a more important distinction. She also appears to be wearing a corset styled top which...I have no *idea* what it must be boned* with to the supporting her like it is, but that is some *strong stuff.*
*Corsets tend to have bars inside them, either steel or plastic for cheaper ones, to help them keep their shape. Fun fact, they were originally designed to help with posture and not waist training.

hey i'm on your ship about the marie figure, when I first saw i did find her face not looking too much like her aswell. For the frieren one on the other side i'm a bit disappointed that we only have simple standing pose from her, I wish someone would take risks and present us a more dynamic pose. The Hina figure considering the price looks like a very good deal especially if you're a fan of BA and Hina herself. To end this comment I will agree aswell with you on the Kaguya figure, and I would even say based on these photos she looks a bit like a prize figure which is a shame.
I'm sure someone will come around with a more dynamic Frieren but I couldn't tell ya which company is gonna do it

That Miku was adorable, the color and food but the cup could have been metallic golden. I still prefer her previous strawberry 15th ann version.
I regret not POing the FMA figure when it had a really good deal. Maybe I will idk yet, have a couple stuff already

Im going to preorder that Miku on a cake. It doesn't come out for a year so I have plenty of time to save at least.
Ive only bought Miku figures so far. But I really want the Spiritale Korone and cat girl figures like Chocola. And an Albedo because I love her black wings. And a Freeing Bunny girl. The one in pink coming out in future looks really good.
As a chick I would feel weird having figures on my shelf that look lewd with huge booba. The armpit fetish thing is so weird 😆 I never knew that was an erogenous zone until I got into anime figures

16:14 I have about 6 Megumin figures and a Nendroid and this one will be my first with her normal outfit. Never really liked any of the other ones enough to order or they were too expensive. Her being 1/6 instead of 1/7 really sealed the deal for me. Also managed to dodge paying import taxes because a 1000 yen coupon from CDjapan pushed me under the limit.
Is there a reason why CDjapan is currently about 2000 yen cheaper compared to AmiAmi for most figures ? Mostly switched from AmiAmi to them thanks to that.
I dont think I commented on the size but that definitely helps my issue with the price

The Zero Two reminds me that... there aren't actually that many pilot suit Zero Two. The best one is probably the Kotobukiya which is fine but only fine, there aren't a grail level one. Kinda weird given how many high quality figure of her in other, even non-canonical, outfit there are.
Volume... No idea why she got a figure this early, I don't think she's particularly popular. Personally I'm waiting for Scarlet and maybe Rapi.
But at least she's a proper character. What really puzzles me is the Amamiya-sensei. She's from an adult series where, afaik, she wasn't even in the source material and was added for like 5 second in the animation.
Mt.Lady canonically show off her assets for publicity in order to boost her hero ranking etc. I considered getting her, but ultimately didn't.
Regarding the fabric JP doll figures. Someone actually looked into it and.... the actual dolls(from the maker whom they partner these figures with), which are each custom crafted (as opposed to those who are mass produced) are actually much cheaper.... So basically it's a rip off.
I dont know much about Nikke but my guess is that Max Factory had a say in which character they wanted to make a figure for and chose Volume. Probably just liked her design which is fair lol.
Honestly I'm not surprised that the fabric figures are a ripoff but it sucks to get a confirmation on it
That Annette figure is too cute I’m probably not gonna preorder her and just try to pick her up after release.

I have all of the Xenoblade figures and made sure to have enough space for the 1:7scale Mio. The Noshiro maid figure is a must have for me but I might bookmark it and wait for release because a lot of figures go on sale or show up on the pre owned market.
have a lot off Azure Lane figures, the heavy/full arms ver look amazing but can be expensive but they have a lot of competition for top tier figures with Arknights and Blue Archive which I also get figures from.
Mio wont fit on my current xenofigure shelf but I have a plan for when I move. Noshiro will prob drop in price so waiting makes sense. I don't see alot of buzz for her
That Mio is such a great deal. Was going to order best Xenoblade girl anyways but that price is👌

19:20 The "Thanos knife" is a letter opener. She's also releasing in just six months. That's a rather aggressive schedule, so here's to hoping for no delays.
Six months used to be the standard back in the good ole days but yeah I can see them pushing her back a month or two

I'm waiting for the GSC Frieren, I love the ring and the concept of looking back while traveling ahead. I really do like the Kaiju No. 8 Kotobukiya figures, especially Reno's (it puts the PUPs to shame)... been tempted to order with the bonus head that has no mask, he just looks so good. But Soshiro Hoshina is my favorite, followed by Gen Namuri. (I am a manga reader) I highly recommend the series!
I'm def gonna check it out eventually. Also crap I forgot to look at the bonus faceplates. Usually I remember

Obligatory Holo purchases(I really had to budget for the 1/4, she controls my wallet). I saw the Ryobi coming as she's my favorite Senran, her ninja transformation gives her that massive bust so it's her trademark gimmick. I prefer not having seamlines, but I'm not sure I need two. I might cave.
I'm telling myself that my 1/4 Marisa will get lonely without a 1/4 Reimu. That's how I'm justifying that one.

Zero two SHOULD be at the very least better than the other one but by how much I can't say. The large Pop ups are higher quality across the board though, but that might just be thanks to the larger size allowing for easier sculpting/paint
Also that Link Figma is tight. I wonder if I'll regret not getting him. I only have the Link Between World's Figma and I love that guy
that’s good to know! I think the glossy paint may be a ? in how well she turns out but hopefully that size helps with the painting.
The Link figma is so good but that price tag is painful. I think he’s one where you may regret both getting or not getting him honestly. DX comes with so much for the price but it costs more than Mio’s scale. I’m not sure if he’ll bin or go up in the after market so I guess he’s lurking in my POs for now. Link Between World’s Link is a great Link to have! The little guy brightens my day whenever I see pictures of him.

15,800 yen for Mio in this economy? Your wallet is saved. I too am waiting to see how the Frieren Good Smile version will be painted. Regarding those Furyu x Yoshitoku Dolls, Kohai's Collection bought them and also a Hina Doll Straight from Yoshitoku Dolls store in Japan and compared them. Check it out if you want to know more, but it seems the collab is very overpriced.

I'm loving all the Azur Lane figures! I preordered the Noshiro: Hold the Ice version. Big fan of maid girls and I love the originality of her maid outfit. Hoping she turns out just as nice as the prototype. The Cheshire scale is gorgeous as well, but she looks like she'll take up a lot of space. I always look forward to your preorder round ups! I love your pre-order round up videos and like how you break down prices. The Lamia figure is only 8’800 yen which is SHOCKING for the scale and sculpt in my opinion…

@@disgustingsalad Ah yeah I see her now. Certainly an insane value in today's market though a little hard for me to determine quality as I'm unfamiliar with who's making her. Hard to really argue against her though when her outfits a bit complex(despite how little there is lol) with a cool trident and some neat wave effects
she's made by the game company so no licensing fees, plus they're a chinese company and they have experience manufacturing their own merch

the shinobi master senran kagura one i think the version with smaller boobs is lesser priced? I remember that being a joke within fandoms at some point of how everyone is laughing at this figure and that if u wan the bigger boob version, you gotta need to pay "titty price" x'D
I quickly checked her prices on MFC and they were the same but I could be wrong. Regardless though now you are def paying more for the boobs lul
