Agree, it's back above Citizen Erased now. Sits under the complete Exogenesis, which I don't think they'll ever do again, buy it's Muse, they may prove me wrong. Again. 😍😅
The fact the songs were this complex to start with but everything was hidden in the mix is outstanding.. And also the fact that if Matt’s voice hadn’t changed over time you could fool me with this as new music just goes to show how well made this album is.. timeless
@@iambucco Matt‘s voice has changed, he became way more versatile plus nowadays he usually chooses to use a smoother voice colour than on these records.
Next album definitely needs to be more classical, baroque oriented just like this one was. The blend between heavy rock and classical music is what makes Muse, Muse. You can add all the fun we hear in BR&R and ST, of course: synths, new experimental sounds, etc. But the core needs to be this: rocks and classical. OoS and Absolution, and even The Resistance, are true masterpieces as albums as a whole.
Totally agree, I don't understand the hate people have for The Resistance. Maybe the classical music influence was too much? The bass clarinet in I Belong To You is amazing
3 роки тому+30
@@markowalski1 The Resistance for me is their most beautiful album, in the true nature of the word. As the album ends with I Belong To You, and after the last piano note in Redemption, it's impossible not to feel the genuine beauty of this album. Purely taken off the Romantic Era, super Mozartesque, Lisztesque. In the essence of classical influenced albums I would say Absolution (Butterflies, Stockholm, Apocalypse, even Sing for Absolution, etc. The full album actualy) and OoS are their deepest albums. Different times where deep and heavy albums were still accepted in the mainstream market. The Resistance goes in other direction, definitely more "popish" with Uprising and UD (which is not a bad thing. These are great, great songs, especialy if you attach them to 1984)... But The Resistance is purely, purely Romantic. It's there. It's big, juicy, sophisticated, it tells a story and ends in pure glory. Very underrated album.
That ending guitar noise/feedback sounds even more ominous and foreboding in this "remixx". It makes me envision being in a structure during an earthquake --all that creaking and groaning sounds like the whole thing is threatening to collapse.

So since these were late uploads I decided to just listen to the whole album in my sleep and I was drifting around the middle part of space dementia and HOLY FUCK THOSE STRINGS AROUND THE 3 MINUTE MARK
Was listening kind of passively to this one, until 3:00 hit me like a truck. Just sat there bewildered, wondering whether that was in the original - turns out it was there, subtly, all that time.
Just like I never noticed there were strings on Feeling Good chorus (Near the end of the chorus I actually listened to it). The quality was so poor that I never even realized it lol
This brought tears to my eyes! This album being remixed/remastered the way it was done is the best thing to happen to my ears in years. This song I was very much curious how what it would sound like and it blew those expectations out of the park. This was food for the soul today. Thank you Muse ❤️
Mmmm the first minute or so so far, this is *THE* Muse experience, I can hear everything! The tunes flow like water when I would listen to a good classical piece live ☺ I don't know how to describe it... it's like you hear and see everything at once... all the small parts and the whole at the same time Edit: Oh god the strings
Yoi, chaotic tapi indah, ditambah lgi dengan remix ini jdi banyak hal yg aslinya kgk kedengeran jdi kedengaran, Muse tentunya berhasil dengan remixnya ini
This song really jump started my love of pianos and what pianos can contribute to heavier rock. Ambiguous and existential lyrics creates such a monstrous feeling. What an amazing composition.
Man I listened to this last night on headphones while slightly altered and half asleep. Wow. I don’t think I fully appreciated Matt’s genius until last night. It made my brain melt and my heart race at the same time.
Space Dementia and Darkshines got the biggest upgrades and nobody can change my mind. These two are absolutely amazing. Like completely different songs now.
Micro Cuts gets a pretty ridiculous change as well. That song is like an entirely new experience. The harpsichord and the vocal freak out at the end is just wild as fuck.
Lol the old album cover looks like the start of technology and this looks like the end with human civilisation gone and the same technology in a scrapyard , overall showing the effect technology will have on us in the future
So this album will be on repeat for the foreseeable .. but MY F***ING GOODNESS .THESE STRINGS.. I actually can't cope... I am blown away how they were distorted so much you didn't notice them in the original.. the growth it adds to this epic song is stunning.. I listen to the original and it is there. Obviously it can be glossed over but not in the remix Matt's voice at the start of the the second voice is straight in.. not as much crescendo as the original... Just all these little alters to this song brings tears to my eyes.
Gods. They really managed to take a perfect song to the complete next level with just some subtle tweaks and additions. It's a pure out of body experience now.
So much for CE/Megalomania/Micro Cuts having the biggest changes... Second verse proper blew my mind. This song in general is simply unreal, what a piece!!! Just wow
Claramente se nota la diferencia de la versión original, esta vez el piano un poco más bajo y luce más el épico bajo que todos disfrutamos. Ambas versiones son excelentes. Me sigue gustando tal como la primer vez que la escuché. PD arriba latinoamerica presente
Love the fact that we can clearly see the Rachmaninoff influence in the strings arrangements (yes I’ve just listened to some Rachmaninoff), though in the original version it’s pretty vague and subtle, and getting to hear this XX version just blows my mind away once again. It's something very subtle in the original version, but emphasizing it with strings was the best choice ever made
