This ship is awesome to use in combat. I sunk a dozen Russia capitol ships and other ships. I loved seeing the Russia Battle Cruiser and Russia Aircraft Carrier getting blown away by the 16 inch guns. lol I hope they continue to make mods for this game. I would love to see an 1990s epic mod campign for both submarines and surface ships. That would be awesome playing as America and the Soviet Union.

I went down the entire single mission list and none of them let me select an Iowa save the mission where you test sail the ships. I tried starting a campaign with one, but my first match was against a Soviet sub. Since my BB is not that equipped for ASW. That was a very short, painful match. Pls help, thx.
its hard to explain but once you click on a scenario you hit the "mission editor" button down the bottom of the screen. There you can choose weather / sea roughness and wind etc / thermal layers and where on the map. You can then select ships to face and then I just create scenarios that way
Yea... in the real world, none of them puny darts would've penetrated into anything vital. Cause fires thou.... that was what should've happened... raging fires....
My grief with cold waters in general is their enemy ai routine is very stupid, mostly relies to spamming you with their wagon load of missiles.. This less of a problem should you played as submarine, but plays as surface ships, this issue turned into a bigger bugger... But given Coldwaters is designed from scratch as submarine simulation arcade-y.. Well i guess players simply got to live with that..
The entire soviet's fleet just turned the tail and run away instead of came into the arcs of it's weapons and spam shells and missiles into Iowa's direction. It seems like odds are tuned for the player's favor :/ Or the AI of the game is kinda bad in general. I literally could decimate multiple NATO's destroyers with little to no effort as itsy-bitsy-tiny Poti-class subchaser.
There is a reason its not there anymore. The video is realay unrealistic that the Iowa had a chance at all. Its modeled so its funn but compleatly unrealistic.

So whenever you are playing the Soviet campaign, and are ordered to sink an Iowa Surface Action Group, there'll be an accurate model for the Iowa.

Epic mod. Jet is from the mod im sure... I could be wrong though.
The guns target who I click on. Push enter to activate the guns.

Reactivation and refit in the 1980s. It's less VLS, and more just strapping a bunch of missile launcher tubes to the sides.
