How to patch concrete.
This is the best method I have seen on UA-cam so far. I was not sure I could do it myself and now I am going to :). An excellent and easy method! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for your opinion and positive comment!
This thing look easy but it is not!!!
I screwed up two very small rooms trying to do this until I saw this video, now I can do the same not as perfect as this professional person, but somehow ok thanks to this guy ingenuity and detail oriented mind it’s how I am learning.
Good luck with your project!
What leveling compound did you use? I used levelquick RS before watching this video and it ruined my floor. I think it was too thick. Yours looked runnier.
Hi Spencer, I am using Mapei self leveling compound. I did some leveling with levelquick, and not much experience with this material. Try work with small amount of compound with more and less water and you can find how to use it.
You make it look so fun! How do you get all the tape from the paper wall borders out after?
It is a garbage after making a leveling.
That is a great question !!! I wanted to ask that
Like the idea , creating two high points then fill the middle lot of work though.
Hi Roy, thanks for commenting!
Did you seal along the bottom of the wall where drywall meets the floor? Would you seal next to floor plate if drywall had not been installed yet?
Hi Scott, yes, I did. Because subfloor should be separate with drywall. Here is I explain it - ua-cam.com/video/ZN0ANO96e2U/v-deo.html
Thanks!
Would you attempt to level a concrete subfloor in the garage that was intentionally pitched? I am interested in converting my garage into a den.
Hi Gwen, Yes, it possible, we did it before.
I was wondering where the savings was obtained was it through just not applying self leveler to the center strip? When the self leveler dries does it leave a ridge or lip where it finishes at the center strip or do you have some method of feathering the edges. I'm first timer at attempting a floor leveling project thanks for your videos.
+Chris Quinn If your subfloor has a big bump you'll spend lots of money when you put self-levelling to make your subfloor even. If you use a floor grinder to delete this big bump you'll save money on material and job for this. It is lots of money!
So can you just grind the bump away? Or do you also have to self level afterwards?
Sometimes a subfloor looks pretty good and you need to grind bumps away. First you have to check your subfloor.

What the maximum height and size of a bump that you recommend grinding down with a angled grinder like the one you used in the video. I have 1 inch unevenness that runs down a room. It's about 1 feet by 10 feet.
+MrYoucandoityourself
And 1 inch high
Question: Do you always work by yourself ?? Are you hired to do 1,500 sq.ft. plus stairs as a one man operation?
Thanks for all your help, l have been able to simplify my quality and speed.
It's not clear how to ensure that the wall ends are the same height as the center hump? If the wall ends are lower, and using the straight edge to move the leveler along , won't the edges still be lower?
Find and watch my other videos about concrete floor leveling and tripods. Also I start selling wonderful tripods by the end of May - early beginning of June.
