Ok for the speed to work you need a analog to digital converter found on eBay.. If not you can UA-cam how to make one.. I honestly forgot what size resistance I used.. I think it was 1k ohm
If anyone is wondering about doing this swap in your 1996-2000 honda civic ex the ek conversion kit is compatible with your ex I just spoke with wire-worx and they have confirmed it. Hope this helps someone out.

First you need to get a cluster with the clips on the back, if you don't have the clips it's fine.. I didn't have them either.. on your car it's pretty much cut and splice.. what are you having a problem with?
You need to get a analog to digital converter, like the ones they use on motorcycles.. they're on eBay for like 10-40 bucks.. email me tomorrow I'll help.

I used a resistor for the temp gauge and I used a 10 dollar analog to digital converter from eBay for the speedometer to work..

For the temp sensor did you simply add a resistor between the pigtail on cluster and temp output wire ? You used a 1K Ohlm?

That's clean! I got a ek but i haven't started doing shit to it yet.. It's the D16 but it'll have to do for now my budget is non existent lol

That's hella clean but now upgrade ur steering wheel to a good brand like nrg or nardi and it will make it look cleaner

Where did you get the carbon fiber bezel????
TheRealKnob I actually made it.. I cut the original out of cardboard then made a replica out of plastic and put carbon fiber tape on it.

S2k cluster......bootleg steering wheel...get an s2K WHEEL
Easier said than done. $500 for an ap1 steering wheel and it's not even in good condition. Then you have to get it wrapped.
