Hey man I’m glad you liked the logo sign. It is handmade and is actually wood from an old barn here in Kentucky. It feels like Ive been waiting for ever for you to open it lol. Great video as always.
I grinned ear to ear wen you pulled out that Retro Rick logo. First off it was handmade and secondly it showed the love and care that went into it and it would look great on your shelf to promote your channel. I too think this was the best item out of everything.
Dang my boy Retro Rick has been blessed with a ton of stuff. It must have felt like Christmas morning. A lot of cool stuff in those packages. You are truly loved man. You deserve all the love bro. You always put out great content and are always so positive. Keep up the great work.
Seeing your reactions to specific items that unlock memories is my favorite. Nothing compares to that feeling of seeing something and all of a sudden remembering what point in your life it was significant to you. Even the smallest things. Nostalgia is wonderful.
Oh man, isn't it SO insane how quickly one little item can bring back so many memories and flood u with so many emotions? I think that Blue Peter Pan Mermaid and the Nickelodeon microphone did for me what the magnifying glass did for u as far as bringing on the nostalgia oh and the little rescuers camera thing, I remember having that too! It's so crazy that u can almost travel back to that specific moment in time when u look at them. For some reason one of those things brought me to tears, for absolutely no reason, out of nowhere! Just goes to show u how much stuff can mean to us, especially when we're little. My bro also had that weird lookin TMNT guy along with that robot type turtle guy and we also had that clapper thing, the Rufio (RU-FEE-OH!! lol if u kno u kno) toy. Plz dnt worry about going fast, I could watch these type of videos all day long. Thanks so much for allowing me a moment in time to travel back to a very special and cherished moment in time when things were a little easier and a little happier, I really appreciate it! 🥰😍❤
your comments are always the best Tessa! So appreciate you watching the videos and being a part of the conversation....also glad you are enjoying the channel...it means so much!
I am always surprised by how generous people can be in the youtube community ( channels and viewers). You definitely deserve all the support, genuine nice guy and great content creator. Awesome video!
You're making me want to start a channel on collecting things my guy I wasn't born in the 90s just a decade later but all the retro stuff is somewhat nostalgic to me because my family kept some of there old stuff Seeing all this literally just makes me want to start vlogging collecting my personal favourite things and whatever else i find neat One day tho one day
I had all of those McDonalds transformer things when I was a kid. And the TMNT coming out of there shells tour was literally the first live concert that I ever went to... That was excellent!!!
Just wanted to say you showing that things you might not think have value but they do helped me start a retro game collection. I took things I allready owned maybe DVD I never watched or games I opened and played once and sold them to start my collection. Also started looking for DVDs to flip as well. Thanks again for showing people like me it's possible with less than $20 in my case starting with to get a collection going.
9:16 “Ronin Warrior” toy of the main character Ryo. It’s like Power Rangers but with kids in samurai armor. Ryo’s element is Fire and has Red Armor, your version is his powered up form; in which combines all of his companions power into his Light armor, which was the stuff in the bag. He’s a cool figure if you can get one with all the armor pieces and weapons. They came out with a ton of toys but they were hard as hell to find as a kid. Especially the ones that were villains and the deluxe sets that had a figure and horse. A shelf for the show would be pretty dang cool.
Anubis was always my favorite character!!! His armor, weapons, and overall character were badass. A company called “Lutoys” did remake them, and the Anubis is pretty dang cool!
Yea, I remember that illusion-eye patch-spider guy, he was really cool too! I always wanted to see a prequel on all about the villains and how exactly they came to be. They have those “I’ve seen things” vibes, haha: Rewatching it right now, haha, I got inspired. I also found out they just got released on Blu Ray last month too. Maybe their is some hope we’ll get some new figures 🥺
Love your videos! I think it’s time you got a bigger room. It might help if you got a museum so others can come and see your collection. I would pay to see if. That stuff is so cool to see brings back memories.
Totally awesomeness You have super duper fans. Watching and sharing Their toys. You deserve that Respect. Thanks for sharing Your Adventures. Great video Brother 😀👍♥️🇨🇦🇺🇸🎉🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Man that was a fun video! I remember watching when you opened the stuff I sent you and how cool it was. So I’m sure you made a lot of peoples days opening the gifts and giving shout outs!
that retro rick sign was defo my fave item it looks so awesome x great vid thanks again for the content always look forward to a monday and thursday ur awesome x
You put up a note about You Can't Do That On Television @ 31:40. There were so many interesting facts about the Canadian started show, like it started the Nick slime staple for future Nick shows and the kids would only shoot the show after school and weekends... but a sad one that I've heard is that the archive warehouse caught fire in Ottawa and a lot of the original episodes on film were lost. We've never seen a VHS or DVD release of the entire series (just bits and pieces and 2 compilations). I have 134 of the 144 episodes that I "downloaded" 10 years ago, but are low quality (320x240 mp4). I have Episodes 2, 7, 9, and 14 of the first season (1979), but Season 2 (1981) to 10 (1990) are complete. I could be wrong, but I believe a few episodes of the first season may only be able to be found on someone's direct TV to VHS (or BETA) recorded collection out there in the wild. The seasons listed on Amazon/Paramount+ consider 1982 as Season 1 (when they started production in the US), not 1979.
Great stuff as always! Seeing you get hit by nostalgic memories of a lot of the toys was really heart warming. Seeing all the nickelodeon stuff really brought me back. Jet Set Radio Future is a MUST play!!! Coming from a Xbox connoisseur ;)
Pro-Tip for smoke smell, especially since you own a game store... invest in an ozone machine. Have a dedicated closet for things you want to remove smells from and let the ozone machine work it's magic. I used to use one at a music shop I worked at to get smoke smell out of guitars and cases. We had the machine set up in a spare restroom.
You keep saying throughout the video "I'm saying that I'm going to go fast, but I'm not going fast." Take your time. This stuff is great to watch, and since I can't find most of this stuff myself it is great to see it in your videos.
Rick, did you ever go to the turtles coming out of their shells tour when you were a kid? I remember going when I was like maybe 5 and STILL remember it! One of the most awesome times of my life and my first concert EVER in what is now hundreds!
I’m in the process of recollecting my old Nintendo Powers. I’ve got most of issues 1-60, except for the pricey early issues, and a few stragglers. The hunt continues!
I have been watching your Chanel for a while and takes me back to the good old days.I have a couple of games from Tiger electronic.Karate kid and Road race with the nintendo tabletop Popeye game. And have the NES as well.Nintendo Crab grab game as well.
Went to a local thrift store yesterday and found a sealed “tmnt super rocksteady and mighty bebop” vhs and immediately thought of you. Definitely a cool find
RETRO RIIIICCCCKKKKK!! Loving all the videos brother but I got a few questions if you'll indulge me... 1. What kind of phone/camera do you use when you go out hunting or live hunting? 2. Do you hold the camera while you are walking around or do you have it hanging from your neck or something? 3. Has any of the places told you to not shoot any film there? 4. How do you find out about yard sales other than just driving around and hoping? lol
Love the content Rick! I’m from Alabama, and also a worship leader. I do some reselling on the side, and your $10 game collection really inspired me! Keep it up!
When I was little, TMNT was the cartoon show I loved the most, and I would see commercials for the toys all the time. I would always ask for them and I got 1 Donatello once. After that my mom would tell me I already have a Ninja Turtle, I don't need more.
Dude I want that cassette most nostagic thing I have seen yet. I went to that concerts a kid. My dad got me a copy from pizza hut and took me and my friend to the concert. The memories from that stage show as a kid
That is awesome I believe that was Chance from the convention. I remember he had several Ronin Warriors action figures. If so shot out to you good sir that us awesome.
Not sure if you've seen them yet, but I was just in Kohls yesterday and they appear at least in my area to have done a refresh or expansion of their retro themed tshirts.
I have all 4 1989 Playmate 13” Ninja Turtle figures along with beebop and rock steady. All have their weapons and belts. I love ninja turtle stuff. Lol
Love the show. Always watching. Sad I may not be around to keep watching. What can I do to get the battletoads set you got? Please let me know. Thanks bro.
Hey nice you a knife collector? If you haven't yet tried out any Zero Tolerance knives I would definitely recommend, they're made about 45 mins away from where I live out in Oregon.
Oh man all those McD's toys. I had 99% of those and then when my parents were moving last year they worked with a guy (who came highly recommended from a lot of folks) to sell some of my old toys and he ghosted after taking the stuff. Lots of attempts to get a hold of him but it was radio silence.

One of the first notes that said “thanks for playing” or “thank you for playing” is a nod to the credits after you beat a video game.

Best song on the TMNT tour is Pizza 🍕 Power. I still have my cassette from a kid but the case has been long gone as far as I can remember.

The socks from APTHCRY literally had the pronunciation on the packaging 😬
Book of faces is what my wife and I use to call Facebook but only in a Russian accent. Not sure if it’s the same thing their referencing.
Blue figure is from ronin warriors or “samurai warriors”. He is ronin in the white blaze armor
