I know it really is. I did not think it would take this long. My hat is off to the rest of you builders.

Nice job! Is this a 70” warp drive prop? What angle did you set it at? I spoofed and watched the second video first with the 50ft takeoff, now I know what you mean about the carb adjustment. So good to see it out.

I just picked up a barn find Avid model B. Will require a total 100% rebuild. Plan on beefing up the airframe but not stretching. The 532 is frozen and I plan on replacing it with something more powerful, I live in north Utah in high desert (4500') on a standard day, higher on a hot summer day. ANY idea's, positive thoughts are much appreciated (would do you "wish" you did, if anything)?! Thanks, Randy

Welcome to the Avid world Randy. Well there are a lot of options out there, 912, 582, 670, D Motor, VW, Aeromomentum are some. Where I would start if I was you would be a budget so you have an idea of what you actually want to spend on things along with why type of flying you want to do. If STOL, find the heavy hauler wing, if you are a speed man, find the speed wing. The 582 is a great platform for this plane. They are cheap and everywhere with good support. All you would need to do for the altitude is just adjust your jetting in your carbs. Or the mean 670 I would now recommend haha. All in all for my budget I am very happy with my plane and its old and new performance. The Stock Avid is a great flyable plane, one thing I did and would recommend is just widen the gear and beef up the rudder pedals. Much more stable on the landings. Short of that keep it simple. If you have questions along the way feel free to email me at DCAvidFlyer@gmail.com. Also look at avidfoxflyers.com, tons of great guys on there that will help you on your build. Have fun.

Just an idea. While your running it have some one use a temp gun to read cowling for hot spots
