@@LeonThomasian The playing part of the demo was outstanding. Really excellent playing. This looks and sounds superb. The piano sound is one of the best I’ve heard for this type of digital, portable piano. Excellent !
This is the Privia PX-S6000, one of Casio's latest Privia models. I think this is so far the best looking Casio keyboard I've seen (only 2nd to PX-S7000 with mustard color ~ that's next level gorgeous)! The wooden panels with sleek, shiny touch surface just compliment each other really well and bring out a beautiful minimalist design. • PLEASE NOTE: THE STAND/COVER (CS-90) ARE SOLD SEPARATELY (I put the link for it in the description) The keybed is solid, heavy when you want it to feel heavy, and light when you want it to feel light. It adjusts to your playing. I tested it multiple times with many different techniques, and it worked really well. Quite responsive and quick! I really like the Privia Grand sound which you hear in this video. It is sampled with depth and acoustic feel. But I want to make more demos showcasing other sounds I found really beautiful, such as the EPs, Strings, Organs, etc. I wrote this composition specifically for this keyboard and I utilized advanced level techniques with fast passages and wide range of dynamics. You be the judge of how you think the keyboard responded to my playing. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. Thank you all for watching.
I bought the 7000 in white, delivery tomorrow. Bought it Msrp but they also included a bench and headphones for free as well as free shipping. So excited. I love that it looks unique, instead of a boring plastic slab. Looks are overlooked by most manufacturers. If it looks inspiring you’ll play it more
I’m from Taiwan, and I originally just wanted to figure out whether I should buy the 7000 or 6000, but your piano skills completely captivated me. You’re truly amazing! Thank you for sharing such an excellent performance!
This video is Aesthetically pleasing to my eyes and ears! You are a calm person my friend. I really like the details in the editing process and the in-depth review is so knowledgeable to us! wish you the best for your future endeavours with this Piano!
Wow, I was never a Casio fan mostly due to it's lackluster sound, but this one surprised me quite a bit. It actually sound very rich and realistic. Also, beautiful playing!
Just found Leon up here looking for a review of this Casio. I am a guitarist mainly for many years who has played keyboards for composing and now getting more serious about developing my technique and understanding of modern harmony. This Casio seems like a great choice for me but, more than that, Leon's playing was from another planet. He has a very advanced harmonic sensibility and incredible facility. Left hand especially was outstanding. He is a very individual stylist to say the least. Casio should hire him like Yamaha has hired Mateo Mancuso to showcase their Revstar guitars. Bravo maestro. Will check out more of your stuff.
Bravo Leon! An intelligent and well crafted video. Entertaining as well as informative. Most of all a beautiful composition showing off the Casio PX-S6000's attributes. You are a true musician, as well as, a professional videographer with sound and lighting accolades. Thank you for this demonstration. I must say, it is one of the most professional independent reviews I have experienced. I have subscribed and will look forward to watching the other videos on your chanel. Parev.
The piece you played for the demo is really inspiring to me. It reminded me of music I might hear in an RPG like Zelda or Final Fantasy. I was hoping I could bother you to list some musicians/composers that have inspired your own composing so that I might follow in your footsteps with my own learning. Subscribed, thank you!
Brent, thank you so much for your kind words. Means a lot that my music gave you those vibes. I’m actually a huge fan of Zelda’s and Final Fantasy’s music. I mainly get my inspirations from film music especially from composers like Bernard Herman, John Williams, Miklos Rozsa. I also love neoclassical/jazz/contemporary composers such as: Prokofiev Stravinsky Bartok Lutoslovski Tigran Hamasyan Aziza Mustafa Zadeh I’m also HUGELY influenced by Dream Theater. I can list so many more but the comment would be way too long lol
@@LeonThomasian Excellent playing. Some of it reminds me of David Grusin, like this piece played by Uwe Karcher. ua-cam.com/video/ydjXxEUyD5k/v-deo.html

What a stunning piece of music! Love the emotion he evokes through the chordal tapestry, ornamentaion and resolution in the cadences! This piece begs for expansion into a full blown concerto!!! Great coda'n finale! Oh yeah, great sounding piano. Hey Casio? This guy is going to sell a zillion PX-S6000s. You know what to do....

Thank you for your great demonstration! Is the s6000 keyboard noticebly better than the s3100? Is it worth upgrading from the s3100 to s6000 since it seems the s6000 is going to cost twice as much...
Thanks for your kind words 🙏🏼 Here are some of the reasons why I think it’s worth the upgrade: 1. The keybed feels wonderful and it’s much more quiet than the previous models. The keys have spruce sides which help make it feel more sturdy. 2. The 350 sounds they included in this keyboard are higher quality and have more customization features (DSP effects, layering, etc.)… although I haven’t messed with that as much as I want to yet 3. The screen is a bit larger and is much easier to navigate through. The four function buttons on the side help assign whatever you like on the go. 4. It just looks really beautiful. Higher quality build. Even the touch panel feels different. It includes that touch wheel which respond really well and can be used as arrow buttons as well. They mention more details about what the big upgrades are in the last video they uploaded (the LIVE event). For me honestly, as a pianist, I just really loved the way the keybed felt.
