The diversionary tactics of Russia in this war of attrition continue to dwindle Ukraine. The entire east of the nation continues to crumble. Is there any expert in war analytics that can inform us about how long would it take for Russia to occupy the totality of the claimed territories according to the actual pace of progress.
I’m no expert, and unfortunately I don’t think you’re gonna find one on UA-cam lol. Most likely in my opinion, Russia will not be able to occupy its claimed territories in any reasonable amount of time and will have to settle with Ukraine.

They have received around 1200 tanks, including 200 Leopards. 600 of these have been destroyed, and 1400 (90%) of pre-war holdings were destroyed. Russia, on the other hand, had 21 000 tanks in 2022, and has around 12 000 tanks now. It started producing 700 tanks per year, and will accelerate to 2000 tanks per year by 2027. But it will take it at least until 2036 to rebuild all the lost tanks, hence the capital controls from June 2024.

@@dessertfirstgateau your numbers are completely wrong. Russia started the war with a total of 12.600 tanks, of which 10.000 were in storage at that time. It has around 3000 tanks left in total right now. Russia does not produce 700 new tanks per year, instead they produce about 250 new tanks per year, and about 1000 more tanks taken from their stockpiles. It is impossible for Russia to produce 2000 new tanks per year, as they aren't finding the workforce, would need to revive a bunch of factories, and would require a massive amount of resources they don't have access to, which would cost them a fortune they no longer have. All evidence shows Russia is running out of equipment.

Ukraine is trying to gain support again. The advances from Ukraine are merely there to show they are "winning". I suspect that these days we will see the final Ukrainian advances, considering they are also running out of men to mobilize
Russian reserves are nearly depleted, as they refused to wait and regroup for a big push. Now Ukraine is seeing some openings to push back as Russia is temporarily weakened. Although Ukraine currently does not have the power to make a big push, so don't expect major changes either way.

I have a couple of sources that suggest the opposite. Although the Russians are suffering quite high casualties, they have the reserves to back them. Moreover, probably nearly all the experienced soldiers of Ukraine are diciesed. The meatgrinder has surpassed the capabilities of both nations, but due to Ukraine's size, they are about to buckle first. Also, Russia has about 70k active duty soldiers who are not even engaged, mostly in the Sumi region waiting for a new offensive. That is not counting a presumed 1million people eligible for mobilization (ofc not accounting for public outcry), so even a war with NATO, Russia along with BRICS have a decent shot at winning against a demoralized NATO, with depleating depots from wasting them on Ukraine.
This is all without counting the perseption of people, the loss of morals in the west, the rise of the right-wing who are pro-Russian, collapsing Chinese banks etc etc
@@isleman2 lets get one thing straight first: BRICS is NOT a military alliance. None of those countries would support Russia in an actual war, only profit from it by selling overpriced goods and buying dirt cheap resources.
Russia only has a ton of people on paper. We saw with their 2022 attempt of mobilising 300.000 men, that over a million young men fled the country to avoid the draft. If Russia tried this again, it'd be a disaster for Russia, as it would quickly drain its eligible manpower, resulting not just in a military collapse, but an economic and demographic one as well.
