Hi Matt, Any chance you could get your architect friend steve on and maybe discuss how he prices a project ie percentage vs fixed price and in particular to high performance homes with the services/stages he offers. I think it would help alot of deigners out there because we seem to have similar issues of "selling" healthy homes to clients and charging arrodingly in when comparing the design of a standard home.
Austin is one of a few areas that is rapidly declining. 7.5% mortgage rates are a killer for housing. Matt has a big overhead expense. Luckily he has UA-cam to provide extra income or he'd be in real trouble.
