I'm a black man and I can find beauty in every race of women, especially black and Latino women. Even though I see many beautiful white women, I've never considered them when I think of a relationship. I'm not sure why, but I suspect of the lack of cultural similarities.

I’ve always loved black women despite the drama they have brought to my life. When I was younger, I had interest in snow bunnies but I had one snow bunny I married but she cheated thrice. Also I didn’t get involved with Latinas until my early 50s. Even though I’m into sistas I’m not into women that are masculine or walk around in a Halloween costume all the time (ie wigs, tons of makeup & the over the top nails). I appreciate a feminine woman who dresses modestly, natural, little to no tats and minimal makeup. Black women are the most beautiful women and emulated by all women but black women don’t bask in their natural beauty.

I proposed to my latina this weekend for the same reason all the other men are complaining. I wonder if they'll ever listen? For the sake of all of us, I hope they do sooner rather than later. The thing people often overlook about "preferences" is that they don't just appear out of nowhere. There's a often a reason for preferences that isn't so pretty (insecurity, racism, etc.). Then again, some preferences have perfectly neutral bases (physiology, childhood association, lifestyle, etc.).
The problem is that people seldom self reflect enough to discern which is which and thoughtfully address the negatives. Sometimes a preference is harmless, sometimes it speaks to a deeper, often subconscious, negative.
That said, we should give people the benefit of the doubt if we're not sure which they're displaying
