The BEST decision I have ever seen!

This week follows on from last week's Vlog when Jon got given a last minute game at Carlsharlton FC vs promotion-chasing Hornchurch FC. After having a game the day before he found it tougher than it should have been. But he didn't have time to think about it as he was being observed and couldn't mess up! during the game, Jon witness one of the best decisions that he has seen a referee give and he talks you through it and why he thought it was so good.

Really love english football. Even the middle and lower divisions are amazing! Unfortunately here in Italy is very very difficult to be a referee, and the stadiums are something disgusting. Anyway I love your app. I always use it!

Hey mate at 17:55 you said he's not offside as he played the ball backwards. In the laws of the game it doesn't state if it matters the direction of the pass and I'm my not so thorough googling it said it is offside no matter the direction. I thought that was the case but of course I am intrigued as you are a higher level ref and have a well qualified outlook. Can you clarify please? 👍

As far as I’m aware of the player is behind the ball (I.e when the ball is on the goal line and the player is on the penalty spot) then he cannot be offside (same as he would be as if it was from a corner!) however am happy to be proved wrong !
