Good video, but can you make one with true stereo, left and right tracks so we can hear it in our headphones, that would really bring the recording to life
your son is really good at drums! And you guys are having a lot of fun. I would personally record these things separately, and use some of the jams as outtakes to record them with that "live feel". Especially the vocals, which could get easily drowned out by other instruments. Still, that's really cool!
I think you could use XLR jacks like if you have a direct out or perhaps mic the amp or buy an adapter.. that way you are not limited to two 1/4 jacks. Just a thought. Great song though. Where are you loading the songs? distrokid? bandcamp?
I just recorded an entire 12 song album on the r20...How do I get the send effects into the mixdown...I don’t want to have to re-record the ENTIRE thing using Insert effects. Please tell me there’s a workaround.
You probably have to “bounce” down each song onto the master track. Aka arm the master track for recording and then play through the whole song while doing a live and final mix. This will bounce the whole finished mix down onto the a single stereo master track and should include all send effects. Your song will then be ready for export. This is a guess as I don’t have an r20 but this is how it worked on the zoom hd8 portastudio that I owned back in the day. Edit. He does this in the video at 7:39
@@Bogzter9I also was so much hoping to hear the mixdown in full, the exported audio, not just what the camera microphone picked up. Other than that- great demonstration! Took me a step closer to getting one for my daughter.
Thanks for putting up a video with actual music being recorded.👍
Cheers.
Excellent live demo! Thank you!!!
thank you

Nice work guys!
Thank you for making this video.
My pleasure!
yeah, I keep listen to that song. Really liked it. I've subscribed
Cheers man.
You can use XLR to TRS adapters to connect instrument cables to the XLR only inputs.

Hey cheers for the tip... songs for now it's on Soundcloud and Bandlab.
Great drummer should i buy the zoom R20
That’s the best thing with e drums if you’re just doing a simple demo or jam- 1 cable! 😂 saved a lot of time setting up mic and all.

@ I’ll give that a try. Thank you 💯
Is there a way to import the tracks into an Insert effect track?
You need a mic with great quality, or its you, cus i cant hear what your singing,
Do we hear the final thing trough a micrpphone and speaker or the actual files?
Final thing? Do you mean the mixed song that been extracted from SD card. Sorry i'm abit confused of what you meant by through mic and speaker?
