I dont understand why the player of jack of clubs wins the lead and get the queen of spade. Can you clarify?
Sure thing. The lead suit always wins each hand in Hearts. So the player who led used Clubs, the only way anyone could beat that card and take the hand is if they played a higher Clubs card. Since no one played a higher than Jack Club card, the player to led wins the hand. If they had led with a Spades card lower than the Queen, then the Queen of Spades would have won this hand, should it have also been played.
Hey, can you make a video on the Latin American classic "Truco"?
Sure, I'll add it to the list. It's a great game. Thanks for watching!
I don't understand why you have to get rid of your big cards (that are not hearts) if they don't have points. Why don't you want to win tricks? Don't you only get points with hearts and queen of spades?
Great question. Playing higher ranked cards puts you at risk of winning Hearts cards. For example if you played the Ace of Diamonds all other players would have to follow that suit or if they didn't have any Diamonds in their hand they could play a Hearts card or even the Queen of Spades. Since you played the high card in the led suit you would take all of the cards, even the bad ones. If you had instead played a low card it's more likely that that another player would play a higher card in that led suit and take the hand rather than you.
@@Play-In-Games Ok got it!! thank you for your response!!

If you're going to try to shoot the moon, get rid of your hearts on the pass and throw low cards on the first couple of rounds. It's better to not control the first couple of rounds, and you can get the other players to exhaust their higher cards if they aren't paying attention. If you have really low hearts, this strategy probably won't work. Also, if you're dealt all four aces, that's a golden hand and you should definitely give it a shot. Good luck 🫡
Great advice! I’d say keep the higher Hearts on the pass and only try Shooting the Moon if you have at least the Ace and King of Hearts or get it on the pass. And yes you’re 💯 right that other players not noticing your motives is an important element for victory.
Good one, I always the hands without hearts to be the most successful for shooting the moon. When having hearts, it's always a problem to get rid of those without giving away the lead (if you don't have the highest).
