Saint Sophia Cathedral is now a State Museum. Most probably, if Ukrainian Church gets Autocephaly, it would become its main temple.

Priest who taking care of church i admire. If i tell on past who first translate bible in person they maybe they happiest person just like me hahaha
Those upper domes are a lost art.
I may be one of the only people who knows:
It's cast brass plates, over a wooden frame. That wooden frame is angle ground with 2 different sized wheels, to get a broad curve, and a smaller recurve, like a bow. Over this, is the cast brass exoskeleton.
It's like a suit of armor, the Kremlin, and the Taj Mahal, are made of similar wooden framework.
Been there and it is magnificent. The images here do not do it Justice!
Inginger and Yaroslav the Wise are buried in this church. who are the ancestors of almost all European royal families
God save this church from Russian aggression
I just hope this old cathedral survives the terrible war on Kiev...Was there in the nineties.....
