I had a miniature pinscher that got a lot of anxiety riding in vehicles.
Dobies are so majestic. Their fluffy ears are the best part. You rarely see the intact tale, but it's cute too.
Kudos to you for keeping his ears and tail intact and showing how beautiful they are.

Dogs love the type of stimulation you are providing them by seeing, sniffing, and experiencing different places. Your dog is a happy dog. I plan on doing the same with my two labs

I'm so glad I found your channel! I feel like I can envision my dream of van life through you and the fact that you have a dobie answers so many of my questions! I also have a 4 year old doberman. My boyfriend and I have been talking about wanting to do van life for a while now, but Ive always been concerned about living in it full time as a girl who has more needs of hygiene than a man while also making sure my dog's needs are being met too. You guys are so awesome and I love seeing this work for y'all!

Great video! I’m curious about where you put your food/water bowls and if you do anything special to help contain the related mess. My dog seems to trail water everywhere and we haven’t figured out a good solution in our van!
I've seen people teach their dog to wipe their face after drinking 😂 or grab a toy to catch the drops haha

Love your van, every time I've seen it and it is the only I've actually downloaded to my phone to save as a model -- may be trying to contact you folks and see what Nate might be able to do w/mine if/when... BUT HEY, all the times I've seen your dog, he's awesome but even more importantly is THAT YOU GUYS are awesome, Incredibly responsible and species-respectful pet guardians. I'm a professional canine nutrition counselor --still trying to workout how much fridge/freezer space I'm going to need if I keep my large dog on her lifelong, raw food diet which keeps her in optimum health-- when we transition to being on the road. I'm also a holistic canine behaviorist and traininer-by-invitation [of the dog] and you really seem to have a solid, respectful and playful bond with him and it shows with how he responds when he's being obedient. No "power-over" "do-it-or-else" stuff at all. And I thank you for that! Learning a lot about how I have to set up my van for my dog's and cat's well being. Travel well, travel safely.

I really want to have a custom van to travel in with my dogs and hubby... The only problem is that my labdraor is fed diy raw so being on the road makes storage and prep difficult.

What do you use to help prevent tick, flea, and any outdoor bug bites?
What do you do when you go somewhere you dog cannot come with you? Like say a movie, play, amusement park, etc. @courtandnate
I have seen other vanlifers get animal control called on them when they left their dog in the vehicle just for a grocery run, when the weather wasn't even warm. I would be so worried about this. Every new state or country would have a new rule for this too I bet. Do you have a plan for this situation, like a sign on the window or something? Tonkins is a great looking dog!
