- We got to spend a few extra days in London with Finley, and it was so hot that we decided to ride south to Brighton for a little dip in the sea and some Fish & Chips!

"the tarmac feels like gravel" - UK summed up
A very famous route to do in the UK as a charity ride. I did it in 2019, there were about 18,000 riders. I had to get off half way and walk the rest of Ditchling Beacon.

Loved the episode and your outfit! Just came back from vacation in the Nederlands - by chance, have you ever been to Enkhuizen? Love this place, the older part of the town is gorgeous. So if not, plan a route! Funny to recommend you places in the Nederlands since you‘re dutch, but you never know - I also enjoy hearing what other people think of Germany, fresh perspectives from strangers are always great.

Honestly London - Brighton isn't too bad of a ride until 80km in and you have to go up Ditchling. I think most people summit that and then choose to get the train back 🤣

I think the brain freeze is to do with cold food or drink causing capillaries in the nose/ throat to narrow briefly.
I'm not sure a "geologist" would be qualified to address brain freeze question. 🤔🙃 But the ride looked like fun.

Do you guys know if it’s still possible to take the bike with you while traveling from Europe to the UK by train? I heard somewhere that train companies banned bikes due to lack of space? Is it true?
Not sure, we drove the van there with all our bikes
