I did an illegal u turn, sped down the street, nearly hitting cars just to shake his hand and thank him for all the lessons he taught me about Infantry. His lessons saved my life. I ran in to one of mine at NTC and he stared in to my soul and said "I'm not a Drill Sergeant anymore asshole" and walker away lol. I also ran in to one of mine at Buffalo wild wings in Watertown when I was a PFC, he talked to me for a bit but seemed annoyed that I was talking to him lol.

We had a day like this near the end of boot camp in the navy too . Essentially it was a fun day with the people who basically raised you all over again and molded you into a functional member of the military . Our division commander ( a recruit ) and our rdc got together and played a massive prank on us . They humiliated the division commander and upturned his rack and full on throwing shit everywhere and yelling and then our division commander lets out a cheesy grin and we realize they got us good and the rest of the day was so cool and fun .
It's mostly with black guys because alot of them get bumps when shaving and if they continously shave it can cut a bump and get infection on the neck. I had a few that had beards. Ultimately I was jealous.
When my Platoon neared graduation during boot camp, our DIs wanted to see who had the best Frog voice impersonation. Seeing as how we all lost our voices at least two or three times during training. We could all do the frog voice. However, mine was the best... The prize... An all expenses paid trip straight to the sand pit, not the Quarter Deck.😅

There’s many reasons a solider will be allowed to have a beard, 1. Medical reasons, 2. Religious reasons, 3. Special Forces in training for deployment

It's mostly with black guys because alot of them get bumps when shaving and if they continously shave it can cut a bump and get infection on the neck. I had a few that had beards. Ultimately I was jealous.

When my Platoon neared graduation during boot camp, our DIs wanted to see who had the best Frog voice impersonation. Seeing as how we all lost our voices at least two or three times during training. We could all do the frog voice. However, mine was the best... The prize... An all expenses paid trip straight to the sand pit, not the Quarter Deck.😅
