I'm 52yo Croatian guy and I must admit I envy you a little for having the park all to yourself! I have visited both Plitvice and Krka many times thru my life but every time there were so many people you could barely walk thru the crowd and I hate crowded places. By the way, your Baby is so cute and adorable, so calm and content which means you are very good parents so keep up the good work!
Plitvice Lakes is one of the most beautiful places we've ever been! As other Americans living in Europe, it's wonderful to see gorgeous national parks all around the world and how they stack up to the ones in the US. After watching your video, we wish we had stayed longer in Plitvice though. We only did a day trip, so it looks like we'll have to head back!
@@OurStorytoTell That's our plan as of right now, but things can always change with kids or family. Right now, we're just enjoying life abroad and seeing where it takes us, but we'll at least be abroad for the a while.
We stayed for 2 nights in the mountains closeby Entry 1. It was the most quiet I have ever heard earth. We ate at little restaurants in their countryside and had amazing foods and conversations. Our most favorite thing about Croatia is the Croatian People. Extraordinary people. Just lovely.
You have probably picked the best time of the year to visit the national parks. In the early summer, everything is still in a vibrant green and it's still not too hot out there. The touristic season hasn't fully kicked in either. Man, i miss my homeland! Enjoy it! If there is heaven on earth it must be there. Greetings from Germany!
Willa is so lucky to have this experience at her age. She won't be able to remember every detail, but you're exposing her to so many new places and sensations, while being a constant and reassuring presence for her. It's perfect for her developing mind. I love watching you guys explore everything in my corner of the world. Thank you for letting us experience it with you!
The thing about Plitvice is that all that beauty, nature and awesomeness; you are right in it, keeps hitting u in the face all the time, getting up close and personal, it's just all there around u all the time, everywhere...!
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful video again, what an amazing place. You make such a good, adventurous, smart and likeable team on your journey exploring the South and South East of Central Europe. And there is so much more to come! I guess your are now heading towards the Adriatic Coast of Croatia which is so, so beautiful. I spent many vacations there, the first ones also with my parents when I was a child. I envy you a bit for all the beautiful places to come like Zadar and Dubrovnik and of course the drive along the coast down there. Gute Reise und ich freue mich auf das nächste Video!
Thank you guys, you brought back precious memories. I‘ve been to this place a few times, but there is always something new to discover. BTW, a lovely little girl you have. Keep the good memories, too!
Hey Guys, i´m from germany and i really like your videos. This national park in croatia, i didn´t know. Thx for your recommendation. And your sweet little baby is so cute and loved from you guys... thats so adorable...
Watched this first video of your channel. Loved it. Really stunning videography and scenery. Enjoyed the mix of music background and narration. Your little girl is absolutely adorable. Thanks for sharing.
Plitvice Lakes & Krka National Park are both really great, visited both a lot of years ago when I was on vacation in Croatia. I stayed in Starigrad-Paklenica a really nice place to stay in, quite and very very friendly people.
A lot of Berlin graduation classes travel to Croatia novalja to party and celebrate their Abitur. And we also had a one day trip to this beautiful national park.
We have been to Croatia in 2019 during our summer vacation in Vodice and visited Krka waterfalls on a boat ride from Vodice. Although it was packed with tourist, we enjoyed the short hike around the falls. At the end we took the chance to take a bath beneath the falls. On our way to croatia we stayed at Ljubljana, the captial city of Slovenia and I must say it is a really lovely city. So if you have the chance give it a try and visit Ljubljana, I think you will absolutely love it.
What an unbelievably perfect day! Thanks for sharing it! 💗 I was chuckling at the end when Willa was determined to get out of the carrier 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 … she said “let me ooouuuuutttt”
This is literally one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited and we have traveled a ton. We had it to ourselves last September also. Dubrovnik was empty. We got to enjoy each place without herds of people. So peaceful, so beautiful.
OMG Such a long journey.😱 I almost couldn't believe it when you said you were in Croatia. I love this country, especially the coast. And the Mediterranean water is sooo clear. I had wanted to visit the waterfalls of Plicvica, and of Krka, but then the war came and our journey was cancelled. The more I now liked to see these places through your eyes and I really enjoyed the video. Well made. 👍😀
Beautiful young people with baby little diamant she was such good baby.I thank you very much you took me to my town of TROGIR LEAVING IN AUSTRALIA IT IS SUCH TREAT BIG THANKS FROM DOWN UNDER
I went to the plitvice lakes in 2019 and it was honestly my favorite part of the holiday! While the little croation coast towns are absolutely charming and beautiful, the national park was just sooo calming and refreshing (and beautiful of course) and i felt so close to nature that it was absolutly my favorite day trip. Glad you enjoyed it too
I was also at the Krk Waterfalls, the little sister from Plitvice, and it's a dream there. We were there in 2012 and we could swim there. :) Fun facts: The water there and in Plitvice have drink quality In Krk was the second hydroelectric power plant worldwide, 2 days after the one at the Niagara Falls. :) If you visit Croatia again, i can recommend a tour in the mountains from the Biokovo park, it's 50km down from Split. :) P.S. Willa is the hero for me, always calm and cute. :)
Glad you had a great time. Just a small correction; Krk is an island, Krka is the river with the waterfalls. They are two different places, both worth visiting.
Yeah, two VERY different places. Both beautiful in very different ways. Krka is river surrounded by divine nature and island Krk (arguably the biggest one in Adriatic) has an immense and profound historical tales to tell. Stories more wild than Andersen could have written.
Unfortunatelly swimming is now prohibited from 2020. As tourist would leave tons of waste and trash after swimming and hanging out around.... So sad that people dont respect this beauty
Croatia is a gem, here are some hidden treasures. Rastoke, Motuvun, Losinj Island, Sibenik and the Krka Falls. Island Murter and the Kornati archipelago. Island Vis and Stiniva Cove
What a beautiful place need to add this to my list of places to see 👀 thanks for the tip.... looks like you had a wonderful day... the more I traveled, the more people I met, I had to realize, that the simple people are all the same all over the world. All they want and need is peace, some shelter and food to enjoy their lifes.... why can't our leaders be the same... after all we all share the same tiny rock floating through the vastness of space.... thank you for another awesome insight into your adventures 😀
A little fun fact, parts of the german movie "Treasure of the Silver Lake" (made in 1962) was shot there, it's a western film, so if you like westerns just give the movie a shot

You just didn't have much luck and you ran into some tourist/ mass production stuff. For all of you visiting: ASK LOCALS. I see and hear so many visitors missing on some great stuff. Including good food. Croatians are friendly and helpful in general. Yeah, and that cake- it is probably made out of organic stuff and full of fruits. Not the taste you usually expect. Specially not sugar levels Americans are used to. (For example, if you asked about recipe- you might be in for a surprise) Just don't be scared or hesitant to ask locals. Your trip should be much, much better if you do. And don't miss Rastoke. And all the stories that come with these places.

First, because it's fun and there are soo many beautiful lakes here and second because it's just safer around water. Hello, I see that you guys visited the Plitvice Lakes in June, and my brother and I will be visiting the lakes this coming end-June, so I thought I'd like to ask for some travel tips. We'd like to know about the weather in June, and if you would recommend us to stay at the park for more than one night. Also, do you know if the park entrance provides any big luggage storage services? Thanks! :)
been to the plitvice lakes min. 5 times. never senn this so empty. if you be in zadar, dont miss the sea organ and the light installation (at sunset) next to it. and of course the ice cream shop in the old town next to sv. donat
True. Bin there too, it was overcrowded so much, it wasn't possible to go through in one go.
