Great seeing more premium goodness 👀. Didn't realized you also played Golds! Such a fun deck too! There's definitely a variety of direction Gurguit can take, that's one of the nice things since G Era days. Side note, Ultimate Strides require 3 face-up cards in the G Zone before you can perform it. So after doing Campbell, you'll still have to G Guard so next turn you can do Ultima.
@@AlexCFV fun fact, if you were affected by Drachma and had to ride down to a G2 or less. If you survive, next turn, if you have the 3 face-up and have a copy of your current VG, you can Ultimate Stride back on them LOL. Ultimate Stride doesn't require players to be on a G3. Ex: You ride down to Tidal Assault, next turn you Ultimate Stride with a copy of Tidal Assault lol
Fun fact: The ride fixer? You CAN indeed use it one at a time at the start of your ride phase. For example you used one of them to add a G1 or G2, then decide to use the second if you didn’t find anything, you are not forced to use both at the same time in case of one whiffs. However, if you use the ride fixer to add a ride fixer? You CANNOT use the ride fixer you just added because the card misses timing. I did ask Bushiroad support and that’s what I’ve been told. TLDR; if you have 2 ride fixers in hand, you can have the option to use 1, then decide if you wanna use the other or not as they both have timings in the beginning of the ride phase and are in your hand already.
At the time of recording I had heard the ruling was as I described, but then like a day or two later I was told it’s as you are describing (which is correct). Thank you for explaining it like this!
Both are valid, but V Gurguit is just so pushed - it’s arguably your best option to go into if the Ultima play isn’t available. The new G2 ride fixer is just straight up design a card territory too. Fenrir creates an “unfun” game state that many decks don’t have a way out of, so I can see the argument there too!
A card that I would really have liked to see here is "Knight of Protective Spear, Arthen". If you are betting it all on the Ultima turn or die trying, you really need some insurance against G Guards just killing off the large columns you just made, and Arthen gives your board "resist". It also protects "Knight of Morning Light, Horsa" that I will talk about below. For me the wincon is either Glorious Reigning or Idvarius depending on Honoly or not (and CB availability, sometimes you are denied and have to go Helios). The reasoning being my focus is on the above mentioned Horsa, doing Ultima's job of "give field big number" from turn 3 even. Though I checked and there are no Horsas available, so I don't know if testing with it is possible
Totally valid to add that, but I’ve just felt with the additional accel circles that it’s less important to protect 1-2 pieces when in reality they should be getting replaced anyway. On an ultima turn yes, that is important though. I also just don’t think Horsa is necessary, a card like bethoc would be a fine replacement that could benefit off of V Gurguit skill and still provide good power potentially to the board
Curious on the Elementaria usage, wouldn't you want to use a unit card instead of an order for the G-Guard abilities? Hitting elementaria after using Sleimey or Sanctified Dragon would be a waste?
Unless the deck has absolutely no space, I still think elementaria gets you out of so many sentinel restriction situations. Complete preference, can deff cut it for those skills but I prefer having access to it personally. Plus you need to have at least 1 stand in the deck, and I just wanted to have a higher number of crits anyway. Ty for checking out the video and the thoughtful comment 🙏🏻

Yes, I might have forgot to mention that in the video! Also why I prefer the V G3 searchers in deck. Thanks for checking out the video 🙏🏻

V Gurguit is so OP, it still might be the strongest g3 unit ever printed.
I'd say fenrir
@@zeff3016 nah he doesn't scale as hard, he's force so instantly worse than Accel, and no defensive BS.

you have done the impossible: play golds and have a wife at the same time

@@AlexCFV Why do you need to have a stand tho?
No elementaria?
